    if not, i think the person sharing the file use the file from zack as well

    I get it from Anacondaqq which comes from zack as well from what he said in his thread. It's just that how can we just remove them and it works :P

    Is the file there will 'replace' the client data? And it's way too old?

    Wow, thank you. I think map is like that in the first place (ship sunk, spawn in the see lol) but I've a feeling it's not right so I guess the something wrong with the map in the first place. Your answer is spot on. I check mine; it has rAthena2017.grf. By the way, I search and not found any file with .rsw, .gnd, and .gat in client directory so I try to find in .grf with editor and found them>remove all. Hope it's correct because it run well and the start map ( iz_int ) is in the sunk ship instead.

    Can I ask you why it's there in the first place if we can simply remove it as that. I'm just curious :P so that when there's any problem somewhere else I can guess how to fix them.

     

     

     

     

  4. I re-base all my files from downloaded files so those file are fresh from the trunk. I mean I use all new files from the trunk as base then add a few later such as item_db. Anyway, how can I check and add the map there. It seem to be binary file. I'm rather new. Thank you.

    Ps. I re-download lastest map_cache.dat ( Atemo New Intro for Renewal - continuation of #2309 (#2530) ) and check with mine. It's exact same file

  5. I can't move on the starter map iz_int (I can click at Wounded Swordsman and the dialogue is ok).

    I just update rAthena source, every thing seem ok. But when I create new character I found this issue

    I try with many client and got the same result

    I can /mm to change map though. I'm not sure that it's at my side or not. It would be good if someone know the root cause.

    Didn't try it yet because it'll be big job to changes all .lub to .lua. (OK, I can write some batch script :P)

     

    For packet ver. number, search for file 'packet_db.txt' in server's trunk (rathena's trunk folder) you'll see something like this.

    ***Search for your y/m/d and use that packet_ver, don't forget to setting matched 'packet_db_ver: ...' in this file too.

    Can I ask you for more precise info? Now you don't get Lua Files\StateIcon\StateIconInfo error.. is it?? Just packet_ver error?

    In fact, I think after include all step that I guess (about .lua, etc) it'll work but I'm very tired with other tutorial yesterday. So I get some sleep, lol

    Most of them teach half-way, only about how  to change and open server side. I do all the server but I can't open the game. I repeatly try many tut and their provided client (if they upload)

    Only this tutorial teach how to make client.

    But one think I'm curious about is that why we must even recompile server, can't rathena do something easier by just read data in external file so we just edit file data.

    Just a suggestion :P ..I try eathena before and it just require changing data in the file but tutorial's not include packet ver edit/client patch so it may just be skipped.

  7. First, thank for this tut. It's the best out there. All works well until starting client.

    I get the same error as fictionworld's first image. I try use and not to use diff "load lua before lub" too (from searching someone ask/suggest that).

    have no any .lua file now. Should I change all .lub to .lua before (because from the data it look like lua.)

    It look like hosted file is changed - -??

    I try client version as tutorial (2013-07-03) and also the last one that is valid in 'packet_db.txt' (45: 2013-08-07) because mapserv says something about function that after '2013-07-03'. Both have the same error.

     

    It don't even start game as some above post with difference error.
