After doing what you said, it finally works! I wasn't able to rediff my client because I used that guide on the forum post I linked, and the link he had for the diff program was broken, and I just downloaded a pre-diffed EXE; so for now I just disabled PACKET_OBFUSCATION. Thank you so much for the help! Really appreciate it!

Yep, those are the 2 that I use (20120410 and 30). By emu, do you mean the emulator? If so, what file would I find that in to change the packet version to the correct version? If you're talking about clientinfo.xml (/data/clientinfo.xml) in my kRO folder, I have already double checked that one, and it is set to version 30. Also, I packed my GRF with the appropriate version number in my clientinfo.xml.

Sorry.. I'm kinda new to this. Where would I find that exactly? Or are you talking about my diffed client exe? Also, if it makes any difference, I followed the guide on this post: https://rathena.org/board/topic/70962-recommended-client-setup/ I wasn't able to download the clean 2012 kro install because when I went to the site he linked, and I tried to download it, it said I didn't have proper permission, so I went with the one I already had downloaded, which is the 2015 one from RateMyServer. I am still using the diffed client in the guide I linked, and also the packet version from packet_db.txt that he said to set it to (30), along with the PACKETVER in mmo.h (20120410).

I am able to login to my server, select a character, but I can't login with that character. My map server gives me this error: My packet version in packet_db.txt matches my version in my clientinfo.xml that I built into my grf, so I'm not sure where else it could be incorrect, or if it's even the issue. What would be causing this?

Ahh... after disabling that I don't get anymore issues, so that's awesome! Hopefully that issue gets fixed sometime soon, but at least there's a way around it for now.

Yep, that's what mine looks like too, except at the end. Mine doesn't give me an error at the end. I tried to record what mine looks like as well. The first time I booted it up, it booted up slower, but I had to reboot it a few times because I had the window in the wrong position to record it. http://screencast.com/t/dzkFDhXdY6j Maybe it's something in the latest rAthena release? Alright, stupid question incoming . I don't know exactly how MySQL Workbench works cuz I used AMPPS during my setup, but in your first image it shows only 1 connection on the left, with a user of "root". Again, I'm not sure how it works, so I don't know if this is just any active MySQL servers you are running, or a list of users. My question is, did you already create a user named "ragnarok" with a password of "ragnarok" and give it all permissions for the database you want to access?

Oh man... I had tonnnns of these errors. Way more than are shown in the image. When following the guide on the rAthena wiki, they said to import the mob_db from mob_db.sql, which worked correctly, and all my mobs and their ids etc are in the sql database. Is there no way I can simply use the sql mob_db database rather than the mob_db.txt? I thought it was simply a setting I missed the tells it to use the database as opposed to the .txt file (such as the use_sql_db line in inter_athena.conf, which I did set to "yes"). Going through and adding each ID 1 by 1 would take forever, so hopefully I'm just missing something, lol.

According to a google search, the default port for MySQL is 3306. Can you see what your config settings are for your sql server to see what port you have it set to?

Hello all, My client closes as soon as I select the server I set up. I don't even reach the login screen. All 3 servers are running. What would cause the client to close as soon as the server is selected?

So do I have to use mob_db.txt as opposed to just using a mob_db table in the db? I set up the mob_db table, but I'm not sure if it has to be configured or maybe I just missed a step and that's why it's looking in mob_db.txt instead, or is it possible to use the mob_db table?

My login server and char server both boot up fine and connect to each other without any issues. Once I boot up my map server, the map server gets tons of errors and warnings. At the end of all the warnings, the char server still seems to connect to the map server fine, but I don't know why I'm getting all the errors/warnings (see screenshot below). As you can see in the screenshot, it still says it received 34 guild castles from the char server, so it seems to have connected correctly, but what do these warnings mean? There are a lot more errors/warnings that weren't displayed because they go by in less than a second. I can attempt to capture some of the errors if you need them. Thanks.
