  1. Hello all, I'm new to spriting (and new to these forums) and recently started working on my first 'big' spriting project, a pair of wings, however i keep running into some issue's. I finished my .spr and .act but when i try to test them in game i keep running into an error. When i open my files with actOR it says no error, no warning so i figured the act works fine, when i open it with SPR Conview v0.11 it also shows up fine. However it took me a big amount of trouble to even create the sprite, most likely since its not a very common size for a sprite (3 times 144x144 pixels .bmp files and 1 time a 256x128 pixels .bmp, sizes total pixels for sprite+background space, basicly 4 .bmp images). When i tried to make the sprite with SPR Conview it really messed up my sprite (basically cutting it into half, placing the other side on places it does not belong, things like that), saw on some random guide that the dimensions of the sprite might be to big for the program. I finally managed to make the sprite after trying with several other programs (most of them failing or making the sprite without adding transparency to the background). To be honest in the end after trying all kinds of programs i can't even remember in which program i finally managed to make the sprite in the end... Maybe that's where my problems started? For spriting i used this guide and followed all the steps: http://rathena.org/b...e-and-act-file/ When testing the files in game i usually use the GRF Factory to extract an act and sprite file similar to the one i made (from our custom .GRF) and rename my own sprite and act files to the names of the existing file. Here is a screenshot of the renamed files (so my sprite and act, renamed to files we have in our custom .GRF). I also tested this by replacing the files with a file from data.GRF, to be exact, i changed them for red glasses, but it still gave the same issue. The only other sprite i made before this one worked fine when replacing the files for red glasses but then again, that was a mid headgear which was much, much smaller then the one i made now. If i log into a char that holds the 'changed' sprites it instantly crashes on character log, when i change the files and ask someone else to log into a char that wears the changed sprite is also crashes my game. This is the error i get when i sit in game and let someone else log into a char (male acc so it matches with the sprite and act) with the changed sprites: I'm sorry if i add a lot of useless things to this post, i'm just not sure what is needed to see what might be causing the issue, its a little frustrating not being sure what you're doing wrong especially if you've been working on this for quite a while XD. Kind regards, Kittie
