  1. All 3 servers are doing the same thing, map, char, and login.
  2. what is phpmyadmin? i just downloaded it, or at least it says it was it, but there's no installer or executable file in the zip. What is it for? and let me clerify again... I ENTERED THE CORRECT PASSWORD! lol. How many times do I gotta say it? geez. I've tried it like 50 times now, even if I was makeing an error while typing in the password, I had to have gotten it right at least once out of the 50 times I tried, and still got the same error. so yea, it's not the actual password i am entering, it's not the password in the inter_athena. I don't know what it could be.
  3. well, believe me... I entered the correct password >.> Yes, that was the first thing that I checked. then i started trying to create new mysql connections with different passwords, different names, and different ip's, all with the same resulting error while trying to "test connection".
  4. Ok, I got past that part, and I thought I was all set and dandy, I configured my server files and everything, set up mysql. But when I try to run the server, it gives me this error... I think it's because When I set up the MySQL connection, I stored a password to the vault, but whenever I enter/open the connection, it never asks for the password for some reason, like as if there was no password saved to it. I've just tried creating a new connection twice with a password, and neither time it asked for a password when trying to open the connection. Also... When I try "test connection" under "manage connections" or even while I'm creating the connection, it gives me this error >.> And yes, I'm sure I'm entering the correct password. Do you think that's why it's giving me this error? What am I doing wrong?
  5. So I'm probably going to have multiple questions with different error's while trying to set up my server. So I figured I would just create one thread to post all of the problems I have as I come across them, rather then opening a new thread for each problem, and spam the board with my questions lol... I will first start by posting my comp specs in this first post, as a reference. I am using MySQL Workbench version 5.2 I believe. Other programs I am using or have installed: Tortoise SVN Visual Basic C++ 2010 XAMPP Shins Diff Patcher Let me know if you need any more information then this. I will probably add more as I think of it. And now for my most recent roadblock on my adventure of creating a RO server =P... I get this error while trying to execute "main.sql" in mysql workbench. Any ideas?
  6. oooh yea, xampp i've used before. You need that to run the mysqlserver don't you? Edit: Yup, I just downloaded and installed Xampp and tried mysql workbench again and it got past the error. Problem solved. I'm stupid. Sorry for wasting your guy's time =P Is there a way to delete/close this thread?
  7. I don't get what you mean... of course the server is not running properly, I keep getting this error, so I can't run it. lol. I've tried closing mysql workbench and re-opening it, but it gives me the same error.
  8. What do you mean? I'm using workbench to try to open a localhost connection. If you're asking if it continues on to open the connection after I get that error, then no. I click ok, and I'm back at the main workbench window. Edit: I tried putting as much information as I could in my first post, the only thing I didn't think of, is what version of mysql I am using. I'm using MySQL workbench version 5.2 I believe. If you need any other information more then this, let me know.
  9. I get this error whenever I try opening a connection with mysql. I just installed it for the first time on this computer, haven't changed any settings, the only thing I did was click "New Connection" under the left server box in mysql. Then I entered the settings you see in the last box in the pic above (with a pass ofcourse). But it doesn't even let me enter the pass when I try to open the server before it gives me the connection error. How could I have done something wrong? I've used mysql before, and I don't remember having to tweak any settings besides for port forwarding in order to connect. Am I forgetting something?

    Ragnarok...

I agree, the guides I've found are either outdated, or there's not enough information in them to understand (too simple). I am trying to create a Ragnarok server as well. I've gotten as far as getting the server online and creating a client, but then the client wouldn't fully work for me. Kept giving me errors, and I couldn't find help with the errors anywhere (and the guide I used to create that one was missing alot of information so I was guessing for half of it, or doing alot of trials and errors. Took me 3 days to get that far, only to scrap the whole server cause it never ended up working after that). So asking for help here should not be frowned upon because it is so hard to find an accurate up-to-date step-by-step guide on how to create a ragnarok server for beginners. So it would be much appreciated if someone could be actually helpful (and not just say google it, or direct us to a link to the wiki, you lazy ****ers), and point us in the direction of a good guide that a noob could follow easily enough and get their own server up and running with little to no difficulties? A video tutorial would be even better if anyone's willing to make one. The only one I was able to find on google was SharpineRO's, which is the one that i tried and couldn't get to work.
