I'm buying a host from an agency, after, how a set the server? I mean, how I can set the database in a program that I can login by my PC? Or the other settings that I must put, also whit putty, ecc...

anyone can help me? Thanks in advance and sorry for my very bad english <_>

I highly recommend using CENTOS. It's designed from the ground up, to be a server out of the box.

 

Besides putty I recommend using winSCP. You can edit files just as if you were in windows and it makes backups/uploads a breeze.

PHPMyAdmin: http://tecadmin.net/how-to-install-phpmyadmin-on-centos-using-yum/

Useful for database edits and manipulation.
