  1. Hey there guys, i know there are numerous topics in this section about these things, but i just cant seem to get my finger wrapped arround the issue. so in advance i appologize for posting another one of these topics.

    So here goes,

I am using rAthena Hexed client version 2012-04-10

Checked my mmo.h and packet db, as the version required is the 2012-04-10, didnt change it ever since i bought my hosting plan. Note: My host does not offer client-side support.

I used Shin's diff patcher and also i tried using the 2012-04-10 client (w/out diff) to start my client, but still the same error pops out all the time.

Basically I get 2 instances of "ResetTheHotKey - attempting to call a nill value" and then a never ending loop of "ReqAccName - attempting to call nill value".

The data folder I have is Alexandria's Clean Renewal English Data Folder v3. (http://rathena.org/b...english-folder/)

The lua files from that data folder, i replaced with the lua files for 2012-04-10 client, i found while browsing on these forums These Lua Files: (http://trac.assembla...Translated].rar)

Im running on windows7 but i doubt my OS has anything to do with it since im also running a test server, and ive played on other servers aswell..

Note, could the problem be that I haven't downloaded the latest rdata and data GRF's ?? ive used these data and rdata GRF's that ive had since i downloaded them, recently, downloaded in mid-june i believe, these were the last full installers i downloaded for a server.

although that in itself could present a problem in the near future, i dont believe that would be the case, since i am getting LUA errors, and I have downloaded the most recent compatible LUA files for my client / packetver.

although i dont seem like it, ive become somewhat desperate, I do hope that someone can help me with this, thanks in advance

  2. Hello everybody! :) i am Richard, been around RO for quite some time. I did take a leave for a bit and to my surprise i found out that there are now 2 RO-Emulators. eAthena and rAthena. which was shocking for me haha.

And it left me a bit curious, how does rA differ from eA?

Does it change how developers need to approach a certain problem? i.e. in src mods, in script commands, in, .. well... basically ... developing?

or is it the same.. ?
