  1. Its a lot more interesting on private servers due to all the custom scripts that can be used
  2. Yep, Ultima Online. Been addicted to that game since day one.

Welcome! I'm new here myself (as far as posting goes anyways).

    hello

Like the title says, hello! I have been lurking here for awhile trying to learn what I can and decided it was time to finally start making an effort to post stuff. I started out with U.S. beta of RO and then moved on to first playing on a private server and then making my own using eAthena. That was years ago so this is a whole new learning experience for me. It will be extra confusing to me because I also work on my private UO server which is using c#, not vc++. (I just hope my kids will actually play on this server once I get it up because my uo server was wasted on them ) Anyways, sorry for the rambling and again, hello.
  5. Hello, I am currently trying to get my client to connect to my server. I was able to create a character but keep getting the following error from mapserv-sql when I try to connect with the character: [info]: clif_parse: Disconnecting session #3 with unknown packet version, possib ly for having an invalid account_id (p:0x094b,l:19). client 2012-04-10a server revision 1628912 *Have already edited packet_db (tried putting the client packet info as ver 28 and ver 30) *clientinfo.xml was changed to reflect what ver I was trying in packet_db each time Before this error I was trying to use a precompiled copy of rAthena and was receiving a different packet error though I do not remember what it was. I've since compiled it myself. I have also been switching between 2 different diff'd clients (same date, just one was diff'd with info I found posted by Judas and the other with just basic stuff). I hate asking for help but google has not been my friend when looking up this particular problem so any help would be greatly appreciated. Update: after looking around some more I'm pretty sure I might've posted in the wrong area. I'm starting to think this could be a SQL problem. Final update: I am a fool! It was a sql error. I had my account type set to 2. It said it plain as day in logserv-sql that anything lower than 2000000 wouldn't work properly. Oh well, that's I get for trying this stuff at 0200 in the morning after working all day. (I know this is all basic stuff but hopefully it will be helpful to someone else one of these days.)
