  1. Not sure since I don't know what you messed up, or if you setup the sql server correctly.Try posting each of the rA server conf files: login/char/map on here. And show me a pic of your RO database within phpmyadmin, showing all the tables.
  2. he had 1224 in his pic, fail
  3. Is your sql server setup and config? As well as the conf files in rAthena with the correct username/database name/password for your database? <- Because that clearly is the problem since your rA servers can't connect to your sql server.
  4. You have to setup a database for your rathena server. You can do that with phpmyadmin by adding an 'ro' database in phpmyadmin. Once thats done you have to import the .sql files which would be inside /sql-files/ the files you need are "main.sql" and "item_db.sql" (believe you only need those two). Make sure you import them to the 'ro' database you have created in phpmyadmin. If your still lost, and clueless about where to find this database; you have to make it. Edit: You need your sql server running while using phpmyadmin, and to use phpmyadmin on localhost in a browser you need a web server. Look into http://www.apachefriends.org, they have a program that has apache/mysql/phpmyadmin all warped one in one program/install.
  5. How are you editing/controlling your SQL database? I'm using phpmyadmin which is what many people use. 1.] To change the password with phpmyadmin, you go into phpmyadmin in a web browser, click on your Ragnarok database 2.] Then it will show a long page with 42tables, each with different names. 3.] In that list find "login" and click on it. 4.] Then your'll see a list of the accounts on the server, with the interserver communication password on the very top with the account ID being "1" and listing "s1" and "p1" next to it.. 5.] Then click "edit" on that, and change "s1" and "p1" to whatever you wish.
  6. Confirmed; An Error Occurred Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information. [#10171] You do not have permission to view this attachment.
  7. ------------------------------------------- -------------------------------------------- /lv This is a topic to surprise Jman in the morning when he wakes up, currently he is sleeping so he won't see this until he wakes up. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ This topic is to post what we love about our lovely admin Jman! I'll go first Jman, your are a great person, you made eAthena come back to life with rAthena. You've setup this great website and even setup your own IRC server for us so we didn't have to deal with the problems of the other network we were on. I love you Jman <3 Others join in and say what you love about Jman! X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x X x
  8. Okay, well from reading your post, you don't seem to understand how IPs really work. There are two ways of connecting a PC within your network. One way is using your WAN IP address (which is your router's IP address). Another way is using your LAN IP address(which each PC in your network has a different one). I'm going to explain how to using your WAN IP address. First, make sure you know your WAN IP address, which can be done on this website: http://www.whatismyip.com/ Second, make sure your ports are forward on your router, using the server's LAN IP address. Third, setup your client on your PC (which will be connecting to the RO server) with the WAN IP. Forth, everything should be working as should if you setup everything correctly. If you are still having problems reply including a screen shot of your WAN IP, your server's LAN IP, your router's port forwarding page, and a copy of your client's clientinfo.xml.
  9. 1,000,000 I WIN, NOW GTFO
  10. I've played both games, the Beta on RO2 years ago when it was open Beta, and RO1. Also had a chance to play the very first private RO2 server as well. And they are VERY different games. You can not compare the two at all. Graphics are like night and day. And people will have their own preference of which one they like better because of how different they are.
  11. First; you need to find your WAN IP address. Which http://www.whatismyip.com/ will give you what your WAN IP is. Second; if you have a router, you need to forward your mysql ports on your router to your LAN IP adress (please google this to find out what yours is). Third; you need to make sure your 'server' which is hosting rA & Mysql does not have a firewall blocking your mysql ports. If it is, allow for those ports to bypass your firewall(s) & anti-virus software. Forth; There is a good chance your 'free host' which your using for the control panel is not going to allow outside mysql connections. Which means, you need a new host (most likely paid hosting) that allows you to use outside mysql connections on their web servers. Fifth; Good luck, you'll need it.
  12. Thanks Jman for that lovely comment. Anyways, Thank you guys for the warm welcome.
  13. I'll be in the community, and I'll be on the IRC daily idleing. But don't expect me to me active all the time like old time.
  14. Hey everyone, some people may remember me from eA when I joined in 2006, however I haven't been active since 2008, but I came back to see how everything is doing, and plan on being semi-active on the IRC channel. However most people should remember me from RUNE, as that became my new home before I left. Just want to let ya all know that I'm back semi-ish, and will be on in the IRC idleing & talking once in a while, most likely semi-daily.So far I caught up with two of my old friends from RUNE, which is Jman and Arcenciel because they idle in the irc. I'm mainly posting this for members who remember me but don't idle on the irc can say hello to me.
