You should ask your webhost if there are any particular ports unavailable for outbound socket connections. yes maybe that's a host problem..I hosted my fluxcp in my vps and works fine. It's likely that everything else is blocked if you can't get a socket response via flux. so the port in my webhost blocks it and not the VPS port?
