Anyone knows where can I find old days ragnarok emulator (like Episode 5.0)?

Old monster stats and spawn, npcs, items, calculations, maps, etc. Reverting the current version of these files are quite hard as many things have changed.

I really miss old days RO :(

Thank you.

The easiest way to grab a specific old svn revision would be to use tortoisesvn with the github repo - it supports svn checkout.

Why on earth you'd want code that is 10 years old and full of bugs is beyond me.

For the most part, you could use all the current mechanics available in rA, stop specific npc files from loading, use pre-re and grab an ancient client on the supported clients dev thread.

eAthena is on github now too, so you can grab it from there: https://github.com/eathena/eathena

Don't know how to check out older versions but should be possible.

I personally would just check out rAthena, enable PRERE define and then just revert the differences between episode 5 and 13.2 one-by-one.

You can try this....

git checkout <commit>

if you're using SourceTree, you should be able to see the "Checkout" option when you right click on the commit..

Perhaps next time you should create you own new topics when asking a questions.

Leave these ancient topics alone if you're not providing an answer to their un-solved questions.

eAthena ?

I think eAthena now is not Episode 5. Can you recommend how to get EP5 with stable source?

The only way to do this would be to grab rAthena in a very (very) old state. Episode 5 in rAthena terms is about 9 years old.

Ep 5 was Yuno if i recall correctly.. but even at rev 700 eAthena had Nif and Umbala (ep 6 & 7). You'd need to find a stable revision via trac (http://trac.rathena.org/browser/rathena/trunk/npc/cities?rev=704) and hope for the best i'm afraid.

Thank you. But what is the difference between your link and stable 704 (http://trac.rathena.org/browser/rathena/branches/stable/npc/cities?rev=704)?

I found that the comment are different so I think they are not the same. Which one should be more stable?

Is Trac another repository apart from GIT? or is Trac only for stable releases.

What if I want benefits of today's stable source with old days ragnarok. Can I grab only "db" and "npc" folders from 704 and replace the current ones?

704 was just a low number I put into track to find a revision old enough that wouldn't have more that ep 5. Trac is a piece of software that allows us too sift through changes. Note though, that the older the revision, the more unstable it'll be.

I will try to make rev704 to be a reference. But it seems like I cannot SVN Checkout with it. Do you know how I can check it out? Thank you.
