I've just read over the iRO patch notes for this week and noticed that Ragnarok Online was entered into a competition on mmobomb.com and is doing rather well. In the next heat in the Rogue Division (where RO is competing in) it's up against Mabinogi, and from what i can see of the comments it looks like it's going to be a close call. How do you guys feel about voting and giving RO a helping hand? Edit: I was reading through some of the comments and found this: MakeloaMarch 11, 2014 at 11:50 pm I disagree about RO beating Mabinogi because if you actually look at the vote numbers, and not just the percentages, 66% of 10,542 people voted for Mabinogi, which is 6,958 people. Ragnarok and Everquest, however, only have 951 total votes between them. Despite opinions, it would seem the RO community is not very active in this competition. Only if RO2......... I disagree. Played 3 weeks of Mabinogi and quitted. The combat is nice and everything, there is no tank concept, literally has to calculate to dodge and not take damage, it takes skill to actually play, but.. Quest? Lore? Aesthetic? PvP? RO (Pre-Renewal) pretty much wins everything. The game is pretty much Pay 2 Win. OP Paid Pets, OP Paid Equips, OP Refines. You can freely rebirth and get real strong simply by paying too (Without level req/Age req). The quest is repetitively boring, Hunt 10 Giant Hornets, next, Hunt 10 Werewolves, next, Hunt 10 xxxx. All against recolored mobs. Wtf? The mobs aren't even that interesting tbh. If anything is to be better than RO, probably it might be SEAL/TERA/WoW. but their quest system is as terrible as other MMOs. Hunt 10 xyz. Hunt 15 xyz. Diablo 3 is getting better with the recent patch too. but still imo, RO still is beast as its quests is done better. (Other than Eden ofc.)
