My client is 2012-06-18aRagexeRE.

In my clientinfo.xml the Version is set to 29.

In the db/packet_db.txt, packet_db_ver: default

After updating my server I keep getting the following warning:

[Warning]: s aid=2000000 has an incorect version=29 in clientinfo. Server compiled for 32

How can I fix this? I mean, I get what the error is saying, but shouldn't my version stay at 29?

When I switch my version to 32 in clientinfo.xml, everything is working ok, but there's this other problem:

after I go in-game, and I try to come back to character selection menu, I keep getting the message 'Failed to connect to server'. Is this related to this packet issue?

did you change your conf/login_athena.txt to check clientversion to connect?

check_client_version: no

client_version_to_connect: 20 <---- this shouldnt matter if the above is "no" like i put.

also do you have your clientinfo.xml set with

<aid>2000000</aid> in it?

(dont if you havent  lol)

My check_client_version is same as yours. I don't have <aid>2000000</aid> in my clientinfo.xml

I see no errors coming from the server either when this disconnect happens. Like, everything is fine except when I come back to character select it just fails to connect.

Edit: Apprently this is a bug.

// 0x00800000: 2012-06-18    unknow         (version 32)

So your clientinfo version should be 32, but that version really not that well supported.

Same problem here.

Client Version: 30 from 20131223.

Server tells compiled for 45. (Todays !!! GIT Download)

Message from Map-Server: Disconnecting Session #3 with unknown packet version (p:0x068a,1:19)

Setting check_client_version to yes gives: Your Game's Exe is not latest version. (5)

How to fix that ? or

Where to get a version 45 client ? or

How to tell the server to accept version 30 client ?

Regards

Did you guys make sure to compile after changing this?

Also why are you updating GIT without creating a backup beforehand?

Hi Tande,

Of cause it is compiled !!!

And why do YOU think I have no backup ? I know the 3 rules of a sys-op very well, i grew up with them :) since computers appeared in the 80th.

I want to replace the old rAthena from Sep / Oct 2013 with a new one and need a new client now, thats all. And my client and server are incompatible atm.

Regards
