help Server settings.

Hello, good morning everyone. I wanted to make a new fresh server (clean) for a school project..and future own projects, I am new to this, the first thing i did is to download the most updated files. Here I'll explain the steps: 

 

I know I am asking too much, but i've spent hours looking for answers over the internet and i couldn't find and when i find something i dont understand it at all.. I would really appriciate if someone could help me out.

 

Here's what i did, I probably i did something really crazy and i didnt even notice it messing all things out, sorry about that.

 

Step 1, I checked   http://rathena.org/w...tion_on_Windows and i downloaded what it says there which is..

Step 2, Download most updated data i found from here:

I downloaded Data version 4.0 inside the rar there is and I ONLY TOOK "data" folder. changed clientinfo.xml with my server settings.

 

  

Step 3, Searched for updated lua files found and i downloaded this one here:

On the rar there is:

 

 

In the data folder there's the luafiles514>lua files .. i copied and converted EVERYTHING inside the folder Lua files to Lub, after this converting i copied them inside the data v4 folder  and made enRO.grf.

 

Step 4, Downloaded 2012-04-10aRagexeRE from:

http://supportmii.com/ro1/Clients/RagexeRE/

 

But when i hex it says not a valid win32 exe file.. and i found this solution:

And this worked..

 

Step 5, Now i downloaded what i thought it was the most updated full client.. here:

 Well i made that data.ini it works, but i encountered a problem when i try to change my blueghost setup for example "size" doesn't save.. Yep im sure I made some mistake, if someone could tell me, it would really help me! 

 

P.S I already tried to disable read data folder first, and noticed some text are still like this.

so probably i messed some lua files. and it doesnt even let me update rsu-kro-rag-lite it says: 

 

 

I already tried, unchecking read only on properties!

Does your client reads grf, lua and lub?

Yeah you're problem is with the lub/lua files... Make sure you to diff your client into reading lub before lua.

 

You might want to try getting some translated luas from:

http://krotranslatedlua.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/

http://subversion.assembla.com/svn/ClientSide/Lua_Project/

 

I strongly recommend using Tk Patcher opposed to RSU.

 

Also make sure all Ragnarok.exe's are closed and you run the program as admin!
