Tortoise can't install

Hi, first of all i'm sorry if my topic is in the wrong section

i have a problem to tortoise, i can't install tortoise svn to my windows xp

i'm running window xp 32bit ,sp2, i installed the tortoise svn

and a new window pops up

"""this installation package cannot be installed by the windows installer service.

you must install windows service pack that contains a newer version of the

windows installer service."""

then i change my sp2 to sp3 but same window message pops up

tortoise svn 32bit <-- idownload

Sounds like you need a newer version of Windows Installer:

http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8483

Download and install this one: WindowsXP-KB942288-v3-x86.exe

Then restart your computer and try installing TortoiseSVN again.
