Char server disconnects....

Question

Alright....

So ive tested this with 2 different root servers located in different datacenters from different server companys:

clean conf / db with only sql set:

[info]: Session #3 timed out
[status]: Map-server #0 has disconnected.
[status]: Map-Server 0 connected: 834 maps, from IP 188.138.122.102 port 5121.

-----------------------------------------------

the ports are set in the firewall,

tested with fully set conf/db still the same on both,

tested with new sql database,

tested with debug recompiles,

tested with release recompiles,

tested with webserver offfline,

the servers are Windows servers 64bit.

Server 1:

4x 2GHZ, 8GB DDR3 RAM

Server 2:

8x 2.4GHZ 32GB DDR3 RAM

doesnt matter what i change in the conf/db/port it just doesnt stop disconnecting ingame.

while the disconnect is the game freezes ingame until its reconnected making it unplayable...

hmm, are they banned by firewall?

No.

The solution was adding a new complete clean MySQL database.

Apparently that disconnect was caused by my old MySQL database.

oh. btw, I asked the no-correct-one question.

I am sure it's from char-server right? you must refer the message from map-server for this problem. and refer to all server window to debug a problem.

1. see the error message on Map Server.

2. update the rA SVN. it's been a month and new revisions must be there already.

Thanks for the reply Winz and sorry if im using this thread, its just we both have exactly the same problem.. I already have the latest rA svn. we can normally login in a an hour or more depends on how many players are currently logged in. If we get something like 9-13 players, it randomly disconnects the char server to my map server. No errors. But before we get disconnected, everyone is receiving the "Session Timeout # <diff numbers>" and that's the time when you started to login the account, it will say rejected from the server. correct mmo.h / packet_db.txt for 2012-04-10 client. no errors in compilation as well.

No memory Leaks nor any error.

here are the logs

and for the map logs, it's only Session "Timed out" for all players then disconnects. No errors.

emm, was the server up and no one logged in for quite a long time? if so, it's a usual problem then..

No, from 7 online players they've rejected all and become zero

Anyways, I've fixed the problem, Im not sure how and when and why did I change this in "CLIENT.CONF"

// Set here which client version do you accept. Add all values of clients:
// Clients older than accepted versions, and versions not set to 'accepted'
// here will be rejected when logging in
// 0x00001: Clients older than 2004-09-06aSakray (packet versions 5-9)
// 0x00002: 2004-09-06aSakexe (version 10)

// 0x00008: 2004-10-05aSakexe (version 12)

// 0x00040: 2005-01-10bSakexe (version 15)

It should be

// default value: 0xFFFFFF (all clients)
packet_ver_flag: 0xFFFFFF

eehh..

packet_ver_flag: 0xFFFFFFF
