Setup.exe keeps looping when I open the client

Hi,

I am currently trying to get my 2012-04-10 client working but I seem to fail all the time because it won't open due to the Setup.exe keeps looping itself. It pops up like its the first time I set it but when I am done with my settings and click OK, it will straight open setup.exe again.

I am currently using client 2012-04-10a; I used Shin's DiffPatcher with these setttings:

-Auto-select recommended patches

-Custom Window Title

-Extended Chat Box

-Extended Chat Room Box

-Extended PM Box

-Fix Camera Angles Medium

-Ignore Missing File Errors

-Ignore Missing Palette Errors

-Increase Headgear View ID to 4000

-Remove Serial Display

-Skip License Screen

-Use Ragnarok Icon

and I removed the "Read Data Folder First"

I've tried using HKLM to HKCU and tried without it, still get the same problem.. I've also tried using normal setup.exe, run as adminstrator mode, used opensetup.exe from Ai4rei (changed it to setup.exe) and still none to be doing the trick..

can anyone help please?..

They said that there are version of setup.exe that does not fit with the client. Here is some setup.exe that you want to try http://rathena.org/b...&attach_id=1402

It contains 3 setup.exe of different kind

However, check your:

mmo.h

packet_db.txt

make sure that your client match up to what lua version are you using

don't patch with hklm to hkcu

The popping out of setup.exe when running the client means that the configuration in the setup.exe is not saving.

about packet_db.txt, I actually am not quite sure as to how to use it.. I saw my client goes under version 30, does this means that I enter 30 as the version on clientinfo.xml?..
