client not connecting to server

My client, tried numerous of different DIFF but most them has their resolution un-change even after I tried changing the settings on setup.

I tried opening the KRO client but it did changes but the DIFF client for my server didn't.

I'm currently using 2011-12-28aRageRE.exe now..

Also, there's something wrong after I change the packet on mmo.h at rAthena/scr/common/ with (20111228).

I didn't.

Double checked it every time I try with every Diff.

And the diff before 2011-03-15 can't even open up, I mean nothing happens after double clicking it.

With clients under 2012, they need the read data/lua first diffs. 2012+ clients don't need those diffs.

Thanks, your tips reminds me of the data folder contain a optionlua file, take away the data folder and it works like a charm.

Now that solved, another problem surface.....

The stupid SQL seems to causing me problem over and over for some reason.

Now it tells me the it unable to access to SQL database from my server-sql.exe due to password protection.

I tried to login from my sql workbrench and funny thing is, it doesn't let me go into the database and stuck there.

I'm going to reinstall the whole sql and see if it works.

Make sure your IP is allowed to access your database.

Yea, i change the port and make a new password after re-installing it, the server is back to normal.

Now another issue where I can't seem to connect to my own server.

It says Failed to connect to server when going in the character selection page.

i'll post some screenies here.

And Also, When i tried to access my own server using a different PC (Local),

It has another error where something like this.

(This one seems to able to let me goes into the character selection page but rejects when going into the game.)

(Seems like no-ip doesn't work for some reason for locals)

Somehow I've solved the problem from (Disconnecting session #3 with unknown packet version.)

But now I seems to have another problem.........

When I login to the server, I can't do anything at all, whole thing frozen, but I could hear musics and see the animations moving, but I can't do anything else.

I wonder if it's related to the recompiling phase where the warning talk about, and it might related to the SQL DB error on the charserver-SQL.exe just on the picture above.

Nevermind, seems like i completely solve it.

Remove a packet version on packet_db,

Replace it with any of the client I'm going to use with the packet here.

Then change my client.xml version to the designed packet I've replaced from the packet_db.

Last but not least, change my packet on mmo.c............and recompile. It's done.

After that, slowly look for error and missing files listed on my mapserver-sql.exe when it runs....fix it and it works normally now.

But I still don't really get what are the SQL DB error showed on Charserver-sql.exe.....

Thanks, no more strange SQL error now.

Now.

Back to the packet question.

Seems like I did some mistake, I actually used the bypass client so I didn't know I'm not using my own client.

Anyhow, the packet error sent me a msg saying

recieving unknown packet ( 0x970 ) on charserver-sql.bat

&

clif_parse: Disconnecting session #3 with unknown packet version (p:0x4389,1:19) on mapserver-sql.bat

I did a check on my packet_db but it didn't list any packet number on the date client packet i'm using......weird.

Also, just a dumb question.

Where and how do I install the lua and lub file into? I need to install it for translated text to my client.

Got the file from here, http://svn6.assembla...a_Project/lubs/ .

Downloaded this 2011-12-28 Lub+src Files [Translated].rar since I want to use this diff for my server.

If, somehow I cannot solve the unknown packet ver/ disconnecting session #3 error.

Where can I find the lub file for 2012-04-10 ?

I only know one of the luafiles place inside the GRF, but other than that, I'm completely clueless.

Also, this topic onward isn't really related to installation purpose but I kinda not wanting to make a new topic over it.

The exp rate which i set for my server are 5x, but somehow. no matter how much I set it, "even the server is reading it as much" Whenever I kill a mob on lv1 regardless of the rate i played, it only gives 29.5% max on base exp. And the job rate always gets 150% on lv1. weird......

I'll try double check around the data and config just in case.

Nevermind, I just noticed the renewal exp rate changed dramatically on http://irowiki.org.

I'll keep it to default.

I think i'll just keep using 2012-04-10 for my server,

But, I encounter another problem related to skill cast.

The unknown packat 0x970....

This is kinda irritates me since after sometime I've set up the server and running smoothly only on Lan, and Login through a different PC/Local PC under Lan.

I kinda send a copy to my friend and ask him to login from his place to mine, and it says Failed to connect to server.

I'm pretty sure I've set everything accordingly, but I may not right.

(PS: My bro is playing just outside from my room while my friend can't connect from his place)

I think I found out the problem....

I tried port checking with a web port check tool and this is what I get.

Port 6900 is closed on 175.139.67.77.

Port 5121 is closed on 175.139.67.77.

Port 6121 is closed on 175.139.67.77.

My window firewall was closed, router's firewall was closed as well.

I don't know about my antivirus though, seems like there's no option for it (Microsoft Security Essential)

Other than these, I have no idea what blocks it....

Nevermind, Solved it, I actually placed my Lan ip on public ip tab unknowingly......

But, the previous problem is still oncase, so I'm not changing the title to Solved until it's done :0

A new error found,

When trying to set party exp system to "Party Share"

It straight away disconnects the user who try to set it.

Any idea what cause it?

When trying to set party exp system to "Party Share"

It straight away disconnects the user who try to set it.

Any idea what cause it?

That's probably still caused by your packet configuration. I suggest you use the client rAthena currently provides support for, which would be 2012-04-10: https://rathena.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/rathena/trunk/src/common/mmo.h

Your packet_db should be at default to support 2012-04-10 client already so you wouldn't have to worry about that.

When you get disconnected (the player) does the map server spit anything out? Stating as to why that player got booted?

I didn't really take notice, and too I did change the packet at mmo.h too, maybe I should go and double check just in case

I'm currently using all these at the moment....

0x07d7, i place the code on the packet_db for 2012-04-10 so the client doesn't get the error, but it does not respond to the option for party option changes.....

It's been awhile but there's seems no one able to help?

I'm in a hurry to fix these now, since I've already gotten myself into the middle of having more then 20 players playing on my server now......

Bump,

Really, I'm starting to lost motivation on how to fix this.

The Party EXP sharing system isn't working at all, I tried to add the unknown error code into the packet_db, yes it doesn't shows the error and disconnects the player anymore, but the setting is still unchangeable.

Also, I have noticed the Party HP DO NOT update at all. It stucks at full health even the members got hit/receive damage.

I really need these two fix ASAP.

All these bugs happens because of the Trunk I'm using is corrupted, and the Ragnarok folder is corrupted as well.

I redownload everything and tried it with a few friends of mine and it works perfectly normal now.

Thanks for the advice all of you guys giving anything.
