File Name: Palette File Tool

File Submitter: clydelion

File Submitted: 18 Jul 2012

File Category: Spriting & Paletting Tools

Content Author: clydelion a.k.a. Rad/Skullcandy

First of all, I would like to thank jTynne, DevilEvil, and kami-shi for lending their expertise of this matter. Without them, I couldn't release this program too soon. :D

This tool allows you to generate palettes with ease. It generates all files from a "master" palette with their name according to how it is read by the client.

each file name generated follows the pattern <jobname>_<gender>_<palette id>.pal, ex. ¸¶¹ý»ç_¿©_4.pal (as read by the client)

The jobs lacking are: Summer, Santa

YESSSSSSSS

Suggestion for the future would be for this to automatically compress to a .grf or .gpf file for easy implementation. That would be FANTASTIC and certainly round this off.

@DevilEvil

Would save a lot of time for you guys. /no1

@jTynne

I looked into various opensource grf tools, would be difficult for me but I'll try. But if I can't integrate it, I can probably add an option to automatically create the whole path (data\palette\¸ö\) and put them in there. Then all you have to do is use a tool like grfbuilder, and merge the generated data folder to a new grf. :)

@Ridley

I hope this would help you much.

@all

Can anyone confirm that SUMMER and SANTA classes use Priest/Monk palettes too?

@person who reported broken file:

Did you right-click registerdll.bat > Run as Administrator?

Or if you get this error post-237-0-91501900-1351638949_thumb.png

then you need: COMDLG32.zip
