In my website it properly shows how many users are online, but does NOT show that the server is online. Its always offline even if the server is online. Can anybody help me?

sorry to revive this but i didnt think it was appropriate to open a new topic when one was opened.

I have a dedicated server for RO and a webhost for my website. My website allows Outgoing port to be opened but not incoming. doesnt it need both to work ? i wanted to know this before i transfer to this new webhost. I figured website sent request out but doesnt it need the incoming reply ?

o.O?

FluxCP uses a socket approach to pinging ports. This means you only need to be able to send outbound traffic to those ports - FluxCP doesn't require a pong event, so the incoming ports are irrelevant.

Yes it will work, you only need outgoing port only.

If your website and Server are hosted in a separate server, it might be a port problem.

Submit a support ticket to your webhost, asking them to allow outgoing connections on ports 6900, 6121, 5121.

webhost*

Do you have 2 hosts, 1 for website and a VPS for rAthena?

The way FluxCP checks if your servers are online/offline is by using PHP fsockopen() function.

In order for this to work, your webhost needs to allow outgoing connections on the RO ports (6900, 6121, 5121).

Hi Cuspid,

Also remember to check 'servers.php' in the config folder to see if you've correctly put the server IP and ports; that could be a possibility as well.

Yes sir, I already checked it and they are all correct.

Hi Cuspid,

We will have more later tonight; we are currently in the process of deploying our new LA server.

TCP.

The RO client & server actually use both TCP and UDP, but all control panels I have seen

use PHP's fsockopen function and only check the TCP port.
