SVN/Development Manager - Gepard

13 posts in this topic

Hello all.

Some of you might have noticed Gepard toting around a pretty blue name. He's had some great ideas about development schedules, development organization and such. He has been given the task of deciding SVN organization, Development schedules, branch releases, amongst other things that effects the structure of rAthena from a development standpoint. While not in charge of any developers, per-se, he will be in charge of the SVN, making sure it stays organized, as well as making sure that potential merges are done properly and that branches are maintained properly.

The structure of rAthena basically puts all of the managers at one level, community, forum and development. None of us are the 'boss' of anyone else on the managers' team. the individual development managers are still where they should be, but as the Core and Script/DB managers are too busy making sure that their development is on task, we needed someone to organize and make sure the SVN remains that way, thus the reason for this promotion.

Anyway, we're hoping that schedules can be kept and SVN organization and building the SVN to be as streamlined as possible with this change.

Any questions, feel free to ask.

Thanks!
