Hi All,

Just making this project public. This is just an interim project for now while the team works out what to do in the future about raCP.

I basically forked the original fluxCP project and have applied Xantara's rA patch for those of you who are too lazy/don't know how.

I have installed it to github because it allows you to easily download a zip copy of the latest SVN with no client necessary.

Find the project here: https://github.com/calciumkid/fluxcp-renewal

If anyone wishes for commit rights, let me know. I'm interested in getting a team together for Facebook login API integration.

Calcium

NOOB TUTORIAL:

To download the latest copy of fluxcp-renewal, simply go here: https://github.com/calciumkid/fluxcp-renewal/zipball/master

Extract and install as you would FluxCP.

Excited to see this finally happen. The Facebook API sounds delicious as well. Can't wait to see what all you do with everything. Good luck CK!

On which revision of fluxcp is based of, 1097 right?

Btw, why github instead of svn? I think it's easier for users to keep their fluxcp updated

It would be nice, if you could choose between Facebook, Google and normal login.

There are some people (like me) who absolutelly hate Facebook and wouldn't play on a server which enforces Facebook login.

I know, but I mean, for example: I have flux installed, and only want to update to the lastest rev. With github I have to do it manually. :S

I think it would be better to use svn and make pre-packed downloads periodically for people that dont use svn.

Then they just have to install git on the server.

Just from reading the git features, I think it is much better than svn.

I will also be adding the birthdate system haha.

When I say facebook integration I don't mean facebook login enforcement. Like on many websites - just allowing those who wish to make accounts use the "login with facebook" button so they don't have to fill out user details constantly.

For those of you who wish to "update" easily, I don't see what you're updating. Just copy paste your old config folder across. If you modified the template, do the same with the theme folder.

@Calcium, they can easily see your commits and see what's been changed, then manually change if themselves.

Also, finally! Birthdate system <3 I was gonna manually add in the birthdate system to my flux but then I saw the coding and got to lazy to even touch anything.. >>

No, just the default. It's relatively easy to make one. It's also relatively easy to learn how to, we have many resources, such as Google, to do so.
