This error seems to be only happening with PhpMyAdmin. You can try importing them through a mySQL command prompt or using another software.

Xantara is right, I would suggest trying the MySQL Workbench application.

That phpMyAdmin looks pretty outdated.

yeah . thats what i thought ... im using system in place hosting .. but im getting rather unpleased by the minute .. i have been having this issues for days now and they haven't done anything to fix or help.

That's also a very old version of phpMyAdmin. I have experienced all kinds of problems with that version, it seems they've improved greatly recently though. I like MySQL Workbench as well, they made part of the setup more difficult than it used to be, back when it was different applications.
