Background music isn't playing.

I'm not getting any sort of error, or anything, it's simply not playing. Before you try asking, yes my volume is turned up on my laptop, yes the BGM AND effects are turned on and up in game, their still not playing however.

Unfortunately this is as far as my knowledge about this goes as well. I'm not sure where to even start. Is it possible to get replacement files for this? If so, what files must be replaced/edited?

Edit: Forgot to mention, yes I do have the BGM files, is it possible their just not named correctly?

Edit 2: Effects work just fine.

In my client folder? No. Nothing is coming up when searched. I'll try to find a file and see if that works.

Edit: Nevermind I got it, just going to see if it works now.

Ok so I've got the file in my client folder, unfortunately it's still not working. No BGM.

Don't you get the already updated BGM from Miruku's patcher? (If you have it?) Also, BGM folders are downloaded on RMS as well o_o.

You should have like 01 - 155 or something. (149-155 is the newest BGM for Eclage and Malaya).

Have you made sure to use sound in the setup client?

Well then good sir, trying make a clean folder. Are you playing a server? Creating a server's GRF? I'm guessing you're playing one.

However, whatever the case may be. Have you tried redownloading everything in a WHOLE clean NEW folder? And everything is currently up-to-date with kRO, KRE and your server's patcher? If STILL no, then you have a strange situation.

I'm setting up a server, right now it's reading from the data folder. The server itself runs fine, it's pre-third class, with the pre-third class mechanics. The client isn't loading the bgm though. I've got the bgm mp3's, I've got the mp3nametable, and i've got the mp3dec.asi, unfortunately I've never had a problem with bgm before, so I've never delved into the files corresponding with this. This, and the damn login image in the background are the only things left for me to do.

Edit: I may be new to setting a server up, but please don't mistake ignorance with incompetence.

Edit2: This is in the correct support sub-forum, correct? I'm starting to think either the problem is right in front of me, and I just can't see it yet, or that it's a rare problem to come across.

Same problem here.

Music can be put on in play, but didn't keep on when leaving.

Setup is fine, BackGround isn't playing.

1 : Some MP3 are not read from the BGM, thats normal.

2 : How can you put BGM on by default ? It's off each time I'm leaving....

Make sure your mp3 is running on the correct bit rate of 128 kb/sec or else the client wont play the mp3. Use Audacitiy or Goldwave to change the bit rate. You can also use an easy converter called 'MP3 Bitrate Changer'. You can use it for free.

For the choose, the problem is "solve". But, how can we put the BGM/Sound on by default ?

[EDIT] : 128 kb/sec = 41000 HZ ?

[EDIT 2] : Background is working. You just have to open it (exemple Audacity) and cut a little part, then export back to mp3, working fine. BUT, my problem isn't solve; how can you put BGM on by default ? Lua ? Client ? Data ? Other ?

[EDIT 3] : Anyways, your problem is solve. I will open a thread for mine !
