LUA Files question about NPCs

I'm about to update my NPC list and its been a couple months since i've messed with LUA files...I was wondering if...

When adding new NPCs, do you have to edit both npcidentity.lua and jobname.lua or just npcidentity.lua because I looked in jobname.lua and some of the npcs are not in there that are in npcidentity.lua so i'm confused about this

Yea usually they should be in both when adding npcs/monsters etc
