Its possible if you move accidentally move an object off the map or spawn one in the void. Overall, doesn't happen very often, rarely only.

Thats configured in your viewpointtable.txt (client side file). I haven't played around much with this file however this is what you would use to limit a map's zoom and camera angle.

Is there no way to hex a colored sky into a map without replacing another map already in the game?

Sorry, not possible with the current RO client. You have to overwrite a currently used sky map by gravity with your custom map's name to accomplish this task. Perhaps in a custom client you can do this.

You HEX the client to add the name at the top of the window. Read up here: http://rathena.org/wiki/Hexing

There is no proper method to rip models and textures rom different games. You have to figure things out based on what other communities provide in terms of reading the game's data source (especially when it comes to file extensions).

League of Legends: http://code.google.com/p/lolmodelviewer/

  • Use RAF File Manager to manage the resource files league of legends uses in order to extract the model files & texture files.
  • League stores their textures in dds files which can be extracted as a bitmap.
  • As for model exports & edits there are youtube tutorials available ->

PSO (Phantasy Star Online)

  • Use Texture Package Manager Viewer 0.9 (http://schtserv.com/app/vmt.rar) to manage all texture resources. See schthack PSO Private server for a game download in order to grab the textures and models.

World of Warcraft

  • See this youtube video series (
    )
  • Model Viewer Stuff (
    )

Models from N64, PS2, PC, WII, GameCube etc.

In the end you need to get the models in 3ds format in order to convert it to rsm. Do the research to figure things out as something like this is very unique. Hope these resources help. =)

Just wanted to say, thanks for oyur long and hard work and support for this. I will start mapping again for a friend of mine (and his server) and just wanted to thank you for all your work and effort bro. :)

Been following you since last year (the little lurker i am) and yea, keep it up :D

edit: Could you make a Video about transparent textures? I ve seen people use semi transparent textures which looked pretty cool. With some tricks and all you could make it look like the Ground was mirroring the Objects above it. (By placing the same object twice, one above and one below the ground) Maybe that was you..i forgot who it was >< And with fully transparent objects (prolly all pink texture) you could cast shadows from invisible objects right? That might help in some cases

edit2: Btw with ambient lightning you can also change the Color of objects right? I think it has some kinda angle in the window that you can change and it will cast some kind of "auto shadow" on objects depending on the angle u picked. I dont know how exactly that works and maybe you would be so nice to elaborate that for me (and other people). xD

Well it would be cool if you could add that :)

Love the new ideas you want me to give details on. I'll keep those in check and hopefully I can get them out during the Christmas Break. Right now I'm preparing for my finals. The idea you stated regarding transparent models to cast shadows is brilliant. I can't believe I never thought of that. :D

I came up with another question: How do you prevent the Error Message: "Invalid nesting in texturefile..." ? Whenever i pop up the texture menu on any kind of map (Using data.grf and a few custom ones, browedit revision 586) The error message appears 7 times (while brow freezes for a few seconds) and then the Texture menu opens just fine (and then i can close the menu and open it again without problems). is it because i use the "Rebuild texture file" option? I heard you have to use it to have Brow update its texture file ( so you can use the new released textures by gravity)...

Eh i hope its easy to understand ^^

Yea its because you used the Rebuild Texture option. Nested issue occurs when the same texture pops up a 2nd time or more causing a duplicate entry. Therefore its wise not to do it. xD

Download the two files and replace it with what u have.

I tried to take models from League of Legends, but the .DDS format is a image like this:

And you know how to export models? I searched here and the format is .skn, .skl and .inibin...

Another question, how to make mountains stays at the same level of the floor? Just remove the mountains, I tried to use sloping, left+right click, but it doesn't work... See:

INz4Ne, download the BrowEdit 586 revision i have on the rAthena download board and use that.

Keops, that image just needs to be in bmp - 24bit format. It's already scaled correctly. Now you need to use 3ds Max to UV Unwrap accordingly for fixes. (See tutorial videos)

As for the terrain edit, use ground height edit -> Slope option is off (see Edit) -> Hold CTRL + RIGHT CLICK AND THEN LEFT CLICK

But I didnt find a .3ds archive at the League Of Legends folder... How could I UV unwrap without a .3ds archive? Do you know how to do this?

I just want the textures and models from League Of Legends... D:
