Status resistance + item effect? how does it work?

For example:

90 vit should give you 90%+ immunity to stun, adding stalactite golem (+20%); shouldn't I have 110% resistance to stun? if so, why am I still getting stunned?`

Resistance from items is applied after the stat resistance. It's multiplicatively, not additively.

100% reduced by 90% = 10%

10% reduced by 20% = 8%
