Hi Guys,

 

I've been doing trial and error with regards to diffing this client. 
I'm using packetver 20180621 for my rAthena emulator, and I've tried diffing all possible options but once I selected a character, the client auto closes.
Any advise on this please? 

-I'm using nemo patcher 4144
-Packet obfuscation disabled on my server

-I also tried removing some of the recommended diffs, which I saw from some post lately about the same issue -- but didn't work for me.

I've tried using 2018-06-21aRagexe only, and this is the error:

It could probably be your date that is not Haxed-compatible.

Try using this one and see if it stops crashing

Hi thanks for your reply, but I've tried this one. and still the same. 
What's the difference between 2018-06-21aRagexeRE vs 2018-06-21aRagexe
Should RE only be used for Renewal setup? while the other is for PRE-RE?

Not RE it is mostly used on test servers like Sakray, while non-RE is used on both Renewal and Old Times servers.

If it keeps crashing, it's probably something in your ragnarok folder from some dll to the data folder, Try to get the dlls from KRO and add them to see if it solves.

Hi Leon, thanks for the help. But this Diff only reaches the select service part then closes the client, my diff closes after selecting characters. I don't think it has something related to the data files. 
What's weird and confusing is -- the host provided me a diffed RE client, which is working. While i'm diffing my own version using non-RE and it's all crashing and errors. 

I'm sure that my emulator is on PRE-RE, double checked it and it's uncommented. The file size of their provided exe is around 20,324 KB and that's indeed a RE exe.

There are several causes for me, for example, when I migrated from 2019 to 2020 my haxed it closed but it didn't give an error, I replaced the textures of my date by textures from KRO and it solved.
There may also be Luafiles that may not be haxed-compatible.
It could also be your emulator that is not compiled with Haxed.

I got this sorted now, I found the diff that's causing this -- but what remains unclear to me is RE.exe version worked for me with packetver 20180621 + 2018-06-21aRagexeRE
