reduce size of client (data.grf)

hi everyone...
my qestion: how to make client more compact for pre renewal (super novice = 2-2)? i have full kro... with my modification(achievement, english, goal in navigation isnt chinese, sprites, ... and more)  it have 3,5GB and i dont need renewal and coin shop things... i can add via patcher later... if anyone, who understand my english, help me? What can i erase?(like rebellion sprite, wings,...)

version ragexe 2015-11-04a (server side too... i can change it as well)

Thanks to all in rathena forum...i make a server, control panel english translate...almost everything

You can do this manually, you just have to delete everything that is not useful for you, such as maps, textures, models and tga files.

Ok, that's what I was afraid of... can i start with  deleting rdata.grf?

It depends on what you intend to use. Extract the data, delete maps and everything else you won't be using, then just recreate the .grf and test.

Is Ragnarok not small enough already? What are 2 - 3 GB today? Even 20GB are small compared to all other games.
Can't understand this even with all these "Lite Clients".
That it may have played a role in the past where there was no Internet Flat, okay. But in year 2020?

It has to do with the fact that some people live in remote countries where dialup speeds are still a thing

but 3,5BG to 2,5GB if rdata.grf is for renewal will be fine ... reduces download time by 10 minutes (2MB/s) ... it counts

i think there is a data.grf in herc's forum that was optimized , search for it i think it's around 800m to 1.5gig

however you have to add to it your edits/translation/etc
