Installing On VPS

Hello guys, i just bought a vps but i think its kinda empty..

i dont have cpnel that for a start.. do i need a cpanel to run my private server?,

or is there any other options ?

updates:

i try to install rathena following the guide from here https://github.com/rathena/rathena/wiki/Install-on-Centos

but when i try to install mariadb it says : Failed to start mariadb.service: Unit not found.

Try this:

 

yum -y install mariadb-server mariadb
systemctl start mariadb.service
systemctl enable mariadb.service
