I don't think you can without editing the client, but you can always have something like this:

	while(!.@s) {
		input .@add$;
		.@future_len = getstrlen(.@str$) + getstrlen(.@add$);
		if(.@add$ != " " && .@future_len <= 255)
			.@str$+= .@add$;
		if(.@future_len == 255) {
			mes "Max length.";
			break;
		} else if(.@future_len > 255) {
			mes "Max 255 characters.";
		}
		.@s = select("Ready.","Add.") - 1;
	}
	mes .@str$;
