Need help

Question

can someone show me how to install MySQL on debian 9 ..

i rent VPN from DigitalOcean and im follow guide installation from

but when im going to MY SQL setup and login into phpmyadmin it showing my SQL cant connect to server ..

anyone can help me ? im kinda new making server side

I recommend install first mariadb (It's the same as mysql btw) and after validate that your connection works fine, install rAthena.

Start from 0 with your VPS and follow this guide: https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-install-mariadb-on-debian-9

After that you'll be able to connect to your DB from any sql client like navicat, I don't recommend use phpmyadmin.
