Missing sprites, act and alike error.

Good day!

Recently i've been able to successfuly setup rAthena on VPS. At most everything is fine, i'm able to log in and play but in some cases i get these errors just out of nowhere and every topic that i found about this not helps much so i decided to ask about it directly.

So basically i just downloaded kRO client 2018-03-27 HERE and updated it with both patchers(re and pre) unpacked RagexeRE dated by 2018-03-07 and diffed it with NEMO-gplshit. And now sometimes im getting error telling me that there's some missing files, but as you know paths to these files looks like random unknown symbols, so i don't even have a clue about how or where i can find them or maybe it's something like random filename encryptions and they look different for everyone.

I thought that if i have latest client then i must have all pack of sprites and other files, but it turns out that there's something more.

For example im getting errors when switching to different class like Arc Bishop(error occurs everytime when i log in, but i still can play and im not sure if there's something missing it AB sprites at first glance) or when i switch cloth color or hairstyle with @model. Also when i tried to produce @item C Angel Fluttering [ID 5979] i get it, but after equip i can see feathers flying aroun character, but still got error and crash and not able to log in back(only if i manually delete item from my equip via database).

 

Im planning on holding multiplayer-server so there's no way i can ignore this problem and hope that somebody can help me understand what's wrong.

Problem solved.

Solution:

To fix missing files for Sura and Arc Bishop i used iRO client's data from here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/4b6ku9e6pk6bj12/AABxpRvpStLz1OAO1eYCVnuIa

There was error when switch to Rebellion but i realized that it was due dagger equipped(but Gunslingers can't wear them and don't have these animations) because i used group permissons to use anything without class and skill conditions.

@Tyrfing I used folder names that mentioned in error messages and just googled another RO clients and versions and checked their grfs.

Im using:

1) latest kRO client (not sure where i can find date, but before update it was 2018-03-27 )

2) RagexeRE dated by 2018-03-07

3) Error examples:

a. Changing to Arc Bishop class

b. Equipping C Angel Fluttering (5979) - after opening costume tab in  equip window my client crashes.

How come these don't get patched into data.grf upon updating kRO with rsu-kro-rag-lite.exe and rsu-kro-renewal-lite.exe?

I too get the .act and .spr error upon equipping the Item ID: 5979 (C Angel Fluttering), as seen on the annexed image, and a disconnection afterwards, though I'm using a 2015-11-04aRagexe client.

Also, I too use the Client resources provided by zackdreaver, which have fixed many of my sprite errors, such as that of equipping an Antique Pipe.

These resources are from other official RO, they aren't presents in kRO grf.

Then, it is a server side problem.

Open your item_db, txt or sql, depends what you uses, then change item view id of 5979 to 0.

to fix your character, open your sql db, then change its bottom view id to 0

 

Well, if someone cares, please report or make a pull request for this issue to rA github.

So, essentially, rAthena provides a very complete item_db which includes items not only from kRO but also from other official servers to widen support?

How did you find out that you needed such files? How did you come across pservero/idro-client-files?
