Hello.

I've been trying to make own Rathena server. Im using Ragnarok Online complete offline server & client pack 2018 by Anacondaqq, which is not supposed to be used in online-use to begin with. But still, i've been using it to learn the basics of these things.

In LAN server works fine. All clients in LAN can connect to the server. This also applies to Hamachi.

Then comes the strange thing. Clients whose public ip/WAN begins with the same numbers as hosts WAN can connect and play. Clients with different WANs can't connect to the server. Theres no signs in server.bats when someone who cant connect tries to connect. For example: Hosts WAN is 10.10.10.10 Client 1 WAN is 10.30.20.10 and he can connect. Client 2 WAN is 11.20.20.20 and he cannot connect. Clients whose cannot connect still can see the playercount of server and make a new profile. Edit: For those clients who can connect, this http://www.whatsmyip.org/more-info-about-you/ shows that NetRange is identical with the host.

I've called to my ISP. NAT is open as well ports 6900, 5121 and 6121 are. Port fowarding tool shows green. I've checked out windows firewall settings too.

Example: My friend cannot connect with his vdsl-connection but if he switches to 4g connection (which WAN happens to begin with same numbers as mine) he can connect. server.bats shows "Subnet check [10.12.13.14]: Matches 10.0.0.0/255.0.0.0" when client connects succesfully from internet. When connecting from LAN it says "Subnet check [192.168.1.5]: WAN"

Have this occured to anyone else? Is there something which I have missed?

Heres my char

I solved the problem. I had to change ip settings at emulator\rathena_PRERE\conf\import in char_conf.txt and map_conf.txt. I only had changed ips from char_athena and map_athena.conf.  Now every client can join my server ?

Change the subnet_athena.conf to the default one and try again. Verify if your ports are open Check Port or Check Port #2

I changed subnet_athena.conf back to default. No difference. Btw, server.log shows this when testing ports: "[Info]: Closed connection from '52.202.215.126'." but it doesnt show anything when someone who cant connect is trying to connect the server.

Edit: Actually when I changed subnet back to the default, even the clients with similiar external IPs couldn't anymore connect to the server. I put "subnet: 255.0.0.0:WAN:WAN" back and it works again for clients with similiar IP.

Ports seem to be open.

Did you configure your Router Firewall? Did you also try commenting ( // ) the login_ip (char_athena.conf) and char_ip (map_athena.conf)? Is your WAN IP Address Static or Dynamic?

My WAN ip is dynamic. It is been the same all this time though. Could static do the trick and 'allow' connections from differend net range? I put // to login_ip and char_ip. Didnt work.

Theres a [WARNING] sign every time I start a server. Could it have something to do? But still, clients within the same net range can join my game through internet.
