My AndRO keeps disconnecting from char-server because of the packet.
In the server error log, it's written "packet 0x0" but I configured my packet at <packetver> and <version> (both).

(My packet version is 20150807)

Sorry, my schedule is very tight. I will answer emails and facebook messages when I become available.

Btw, I uploaded version 220 with improved Doram support. It addresses some Doram sprite display issues and also enables Doram character creation

is there anyway that we can prohibit players to access  the APK and make changes or at least hide the clientinfo.xml?

Hi @all, I've just managed to make AndRO work on my server.

I have 2 questions though:

1. the shared palette update (I really wanted to ask you today if you could implement it but I checked your changelog and you already did it)
is on version 222, it isn't released yet, right? When I try to download / update it still says version 220. And if it will be released, what to put into the clientinfo to use this feature?

2. Shared File Server: This is the only thing I would need help with. I don't understand how this could work with a patcher. What files would be prioritized?
The ones that get pulled from the file server if needed? Or the ones that the patcher provides?

And what happens if the patcher downloads files, but there are newer files on the File Server?

@meyraw I also found a little bug. Once clicked on a server at the server selection you can click it again. So if you have set up a patcher it will download / patch twice at the same time. I thinl that can't be that good for the grfs to pack.

Could you disable the server selection once clicked on a server button?

@Gorder Just put the clientinfo into a grf. That woulf prevent lazy people from editing it. But there is no way to prevent it completely from being edited. Since we are capable of editing a Client so is everyone else.

(Maybe encrypted grf would be an option but andro doesn't support it)

v222 will be released a bit later, clientinfo setting name is <shared_body_palettes_type2>

Remote file server setting in free build is not yet tested well but if it works, its files are least prioritized over local GRF files (and therefore, over patched content as well). If file server is specified, AndRO will request a patch information file from file server (that is, .dat StatusFile for Thor patcher) and will make its decision about which patches to download based on its information. If new files appear on file server, client does not replace old files with new files automatically, so you need to patch these new files using patch server or ask users to clear app cache.

I guess <shared_body_palettes_type2>true</shared_body_palettes_type2> ?

How about adding same option for hair palettes, too?

That's awesome! Just how to setup the fileserver? I know, extracting all files in lower case somewhere on the server, but is that all? There must be some addition like ..... a config file? A *.dat file? On the server I mean. I'd like to test it with the free version for you.

Also I hope you noticed the Bug Report from the post above. (You did notice it... Just saw cl from 223)
- But I have another one, Doram has no Skill Tree yet.
- Alternate Costumes aren't displayed (@bodystyle 1 for example)

Additionally: Is there a way to configure the free apk to only 1 server? (Just like for the paid version)
What I mean is: Edit 1 file in the apk, so if someone downloads and installs it, the client directly points to 1 specified server?
If THAT would be possible I would love you forever!

- Like a clientinfo inside of the apk
- Also an option to disable the manual update to prevent the clientinfo to be overwritten (Because the Update wouldn't contain the clientinfo)

@noobzter003 it DOES support 2018 clients, @meyraw stated it already at an earlier post.
