Applying diff patch in putty or linux...already checked the one in the wiki but i can't understand it..can you guys please tell me the step by step process...thanks

Advice: Don't do it on the host. Prepare your changes locally and push them via git.

Nevertheless you could use the commands git apply or patch. But if you encounter merge conflicts you'll have a bad time.

you will need to install  a program called WinSCP ,  login to your server using winscp

and then open up the .diff file with notepad or notepad++ and edit the files manually.
