Hi,

I'm newbie here.

Everything is perfect, no error from start. (NOTE: I'm using the 2017-07-05 KRO Client)

However, when I tried to start the game(running the 2015-11-04aRagexe.exe file), nothing is showing.

The file is running on the background process, but nothing shows up.

Do I need to installing anything other than the files you have provided?

Run OpenSetup, click at left bottom corner on "lua" icon, then select your graphic adapter and resolution, then restart PC and try to run RO.

Hi! I'm trying to run runsever_PRERE.bat for me to play it pre-renewal but it's not working.

and after that I got this error in mapserver:

After this steps I cant change my lvl to 255  

P.S. I did this steps on renewal too (except the second step) and 255 lvl works, but I want to play on pre-renewal. help me pls. I have already read about 50 articles and this entire article, but nothing helps me.

after I got this error I tried:

- change \map\battle.c

Open \src\map\battle.c and look for this line of code:

{ "max_lv"' date=' &battle_config.max_lv, 255, 0, [i']127[/i],

Change 127 to the maximum value you wish to set for your server i.e.

{ "max_lv", &battle_config.max_lv, 255, 0, 1000,

This limits the accepted values of max_lv in \conf\battle\client.conf

 

Sorry, i can't help you with that, try to search for guides around the board, I guess someone already solve your problem and wrote a guide about it, just try to search.

My answer can be very big for the question, and it will require a lot of my time to explain such things, I will leave only one message: "something is not correct". And what some I don't know, did not confirm yet that emulator ASPD issue exists in the package (i hope it's not, but can't guarantee).

Use SDE / GRF Editor, and ItemInfo.lua for finding a sprite inside data.grf, if not exist, who know where to take the sprite, it can be an item from different official server (for example bRO, jRO)

The package  hosted on many diferent filehostings (free), the kRO client hosted not really by me, try to find any other kRO client and use it. In the category where we now you can find download links.

But i cant use phpmyadmin. When i ran it, it just show phpmyadmin and the rest is empty.

Because this is just a template, and I strongly always recommend to build your own server. With this pack, you just got a vision and understanding how everything works, and so on, you just stepping much closer to your own server development, and many guides at the board will be much easy to understand when you will have a fully worked server. I know really a lot of people for whom this package really helps to understand everything that they can't-do for many years, and they said many different kind words.

I already transfer this sql to mysql i don't user openserver anymore. Also do have many configuration alter on this template. May i know if you ever counter a bug on your template?

Back to my question, what is the disadvantage using this template?

sir Anacondaq, my Problem IS SOLVED. thanks to God and thank you to you 

its not the Database that did the error.. it was the program of Open Server x64.exe Compatibility that need to be fixed and set back as same as the windows 7
I'm using the Win10. I found this by a chance after my old RO-Offline went crazy too  for the Compatibility sake

I thought perhaps this could help you add for more question in the future, specialy for those who use Win other than Win7
STEPS :
==>> (make sure the Open Server is NOT RUNNING YET) <<==
1. Right Click, Choose Troubleshoot Compatibility


2. Detecting Issues (wait for it)


3. Choose Troubleshoot Program. (so the list choice for Win7 Compatibility would shows up)


4. Choose at least the 'Program worked in earlier version of Windows...',
so the Compatibility for Win7 would be shown off. (rest is up to you)


5. Trial and Error part. for Win10(my problem) it was compatible with Windows 7.
(Remember, The other version of people might differ from my laptop settings)


6. Click, the 'Test the program...'
this will displaying if the problem fixed or not by comparing Windows Compatibility.
in case if Windows 7 is still showing the Error, choose other setting too(Win8, Win Vista, etc)

after that, Next and Finish.
the Open Server could just run without error and the RunServer.bat should do just FINE

Try downloading binkw32.dll from google and put it inside your RO folder, and about the lua files: accessoryid.lub and accname.lub are inside rAthena2017.grf  and iteminfo.lua is inside RO\system

If you're adding an item extract all 3 idnum2 and 3 num2 and slotcount "7 text files" outside the grf and use Item Converter to convert it to ItemInfo.lua, Impt. all 7 text files must be inside the same folder with item coinverter .exe to convert it to ItemInfo.lua!

Hello!! I'm going through your steps and I seem to be running into this issue.

 

 

From there, for kicks and giggles I tried to run the server for PreRe anyways and it's also saying that it can't find the map server. Is this something you could help with or does this have more to do with my firewall than with the pack? Any help is greatly appreciated. PRE-RE is a bug of the package.

Here is a fix, just download and copy-paste to your emulator folder

About the error on screenshot, its saying to you correct information. Please turn on application on 3306 port.

It can be installed mysql-server on your PC, or it can be something else. Just try to restart your PC

then download Process Hacker, and at network tab find 3306 port and who is using it (if it busy) and try to unnstalll that app, or disable it.

Look, you need uninstall MySQL Server which is installed at your PC, or just kill mysqld.exe process, and try to run OpenServer (to make it with Green Flag). Your problem in next:

In OpenServer you already have MySQL server which starts every time when you run the server (green flag). and stops when you stop the server (red flag). In your case, you have a next problem: OpenServer trying to launch a MySQL server on 3306 port, but because some other app on your PC (another mysql server) already use that port, OpenServer is failed. So, because of that, you can't launch a server. You need to have only one mysql server -> from this package, not installed on your PC, for that find at your programs list mysql or any other SQL: server, and uninstall it, then read the guide again to understand a mechanic (it is very easy) and main logic. Then try again. If you will fail to run Green Flag, please ask for support at official OpenServer community (ospanel.io)

Okay... Thank you. I just uninstalled everything and started from scratch so hopefully I can get somewhere this time. It's a very simple guide, I understand that but for some reason my laptop has decided to be satan and as always, windows seems to be getting in my way.

any guide how to setup openserver for this ragnarok offline? i just want to setup mine too using the latest svn, couldn't find one on google. thank you sir anacondaqq for this awesome content. one more thing sir, i'm having an error on my client whenever i put the custom item and alt+q on a novice\1st job\trans novce\trans 1st job, but otherwise working perfectly fine on 2nd\3rd job, trans 2nd\3rd job and extended classes when i alt+q on them, i think it's not \item, \collection error because as i said they're working perfectly fine on 2nd\3rd job, trans 2nd\3rd job and extended class. please help me sir i really couldn't find the solution.. /sad...

What is it? This is package of everything that you need for a running server on your local Windows PC (emulator, mysql-server, game client, extra utilities).
This pack oriented mostly for people without knowledge and time for education how everything works,
but which wish to run Ragnarok Online server at their own PC, or which wish to try and learn something new,
but never tried it, or confused with configuration part. Anyway, it can be used not only by such people.

It will be very good boost for any newbie which stuck a lot with basic first step (server configuration)
I remember when I was a newbie, and something like full pack which i have used as example was saved for me a lot of my time. 
Because everything is here, and here is fully working an example of everything that need to know,
and you can skip boring configuration part and do funny things, or education with the emulator 
which in final result will again -> save a lot of time for you. When i say read, i mean: exe diffed, grf's packed, emulator compiled, mysql-server configured, .sql files imported, packet_db setted, configuration part done. Just run open-server, then run emulator exe (runserver.bat) and open game client = and boom, you are in game

About
What usually need to do to make rAthena works? 

• you need a compiler for compiling emulator from source code to a ready application which you will run.
• you need mysql-server where will be stored database which will be used by rAthena emulator (need import sql files, and create mysql users, then set everything at rAthena)
• you need translated and up to date game client, which will support latest available RO features
• you need diffed .exe file to run game client which will load everything above.

What will you get from this pack?

• pre-compiled and configured Emulator to .exe files (map, char, login servers) for both version of RENEWAL and PRE-RENEWAL version of rAthena (you don't need any compiler at all)
• pre-configured web-server stack (mysql-server + different important and useful tools for you), with already imported rAthena sql database inside

Main Pack Idea

How to Use

Before you start, please download latest CLEAN kRO (Korean Ragnarok Online) game client.

0. Download it and install it somewhere, I suggest install it to C:\Games\ROCLIENT

1. Go to /01_emulator/ and extract rathena.zip
    Don't forget to read readme.txt inside the folder.
    This readme file explains everything that you need to know about rAthena.
    As you understand, this is pre-compiled and configured Ragnarok Online Emulator

2. Go to /02_openserver/ and extract OpenServer.zip
    This is pre-configured and cleaned web-server stack (mysql-server / etc)
    which you should start every time when you running the server (green flag)
    Don't forget to read "readme.txt" inside that folder, it will explain everything for you.

3. Go to /03_client_side_files/ and copy all files inside to your clean kRO folder (step #0)
    By default, you copy files which packed for RENEWAL mechanic with renewal descriptions / etc.
    If you wish, after copying files, you can overwrite different to RENEWAL translation from PRERE_VERSION folder
    Just open PRERE_VERSION folder and copy-paste everything from this folder to your kRO client.
    Don't forget to read "readme.txt" inside the folder, it will explain everything for you

 

4. 90% of work done, now need just understand main things: rAthena Emulator can't work without database server.
    So before running emulator, and then game client, you should run the server, then emulator, and only then the client.

    
    Your steps now (from server start to entering the game):

        a.) go to /02_openserver/OpenServer/ and run Open Server x64.exe (depends on your Windows Version)
        

        b.) you will see "Red Flag"   at your tray bar (near clocks), click on it, then select "Run Server".
            if your antivirus not crazy, or firewall is ok -> server will be run normally and you will see that Red Flag changed to Green Color. 
                if you experience any issues, go to official OpenServer website and ask for help: https://ospanel.io/forum/
        

        c.) go to /01_emulator/rathena/ and depends on mechanic what you wish to have run:
            - or runserver.bat = RENEWAL mechanic (default (since 2010 up to now))
            - or runserver_PRERE.bat = PRE_RE (classic mechanic (up to 2010 year))
            It will open 3 console windows, where you should not see any "Error" messages if everything is ok.

Then select database "rathena_db", find table called "login" open it, find your user, and change value in "group_id" field to your own (0 =normal user, 99 = super user with all privileges). For more information please see groups.conf too.

If you have any problems, please try to fix your system first. Everything in this pack was tested.
Bugs can happen, but mostly 99% of functions works fine. Google is your best friend.

at emulator folder. It's path from emulator folder, inside / you see a foldername. 

/doc/atcommands.txt means -> open emulator folder, find folder called "doc" and inside the folder you will find file called atcommands.txt open and read it.
