All Class / Weapon combinations

This is more of a "is it possible these days" than a real request, but I figured I'd post it here in case somebody had already made something like this and I simply couldn't find it.

Ages ago a friend of mine made it possible for Novices to use spears. This involved using the knife animation and replacing one of the special looking knives. It was a huge pain in the ass to get the client to recognize the spear sprites for the weapon novices weren't ever supposed to use and it's what made us give up on getting all the weapons working.

 

I was wondering if it's any easier these days, now that modded clients are a thing. Basically what I'm looking to do is to have every weapon / class combination working, without the client throwing error messages or characters wielding invisible weapons.

 

I'm fully aware of the limits of the client, I don't think you can ever get a knight to use a bow properly because you're stuck using either the sword or the spear animation for it, but that's not the main problem, I'm mostly wondering if it's possible these days without going out of your way by replacing specific weapon sprites.

My though is edit the src > Whatever user equipped the 'View' will be hard code to main weapon.

So you can use all weapon to all class. ( I'm not sure about this haha. )
