Thanks for this guide Einjerin, somehow got to work, but I got problems regarding the latest item sprites. Unknown items and some items got no pic.

Thank you for the guide. I managed to get the server up and connect to it successfully. 

I have similar problem as tomasito28 "first map with black map". However, I am not able to leave the map. 

After checking the 3 logs on mapserv,charserv and logserv, There is no error log.

I use "2015-11-04a Download (Main Server)", since Napster said it's a stable version.

any help is appreciated.

If anyone has the same issue as me and cannot exit the map, you can modify your location at the SQL. 

I will update if i know why my gm commands are not working.

Sorry I cant help you guys with the error. I haven't encountered those issues(especially in the compiling the rathena server)

You could say that. The rathena server compilation must be followed via wiki though(I followed it as well and it works fine)

GLAD I can help. I believe your gm commands is not working due to your group id on the Server. I believe it should be 99 or something to be a GM.

My Char server stopped loading when loading guild castle database.

 

Can you help me?

 

I've checked the Db and it said there's only 33 guild castle, but the map server.exe said 34 guild castle.

 

I think this is what make the char server stopped working.

Thank you for this guide. However, my friend cannot connect to my server. BUT I can connect from my Laptop to my Desktop (rAthena Server) using my WAN IP.

 

Here's my settings:

Server:

Using default ports 6900, 6121, 5121, ports open on my router.

 

char_athena.conf

login_ip: 192.168.2.6 <-- LAN IP

char_ip: My WAN/Public IP

 

map_athena.conf

char_ip: 192.168.2.6 <-- LAN IP

map_ip: My WAN/Public IP

 

 

Client:

clientinfo.xml --> already change to <address>my WAN/Public IP</address>

tbh, I really don't even understand what to do in 

 

Setup rAthena config - it is really difficult for me to follow the wiki in the link

Setup Database - I get the some error when running the runserver.bat

 

 

I used another method from someone else and managed it to work, but the client (of which version I don't know) 

crashes every time I enter into a shop in prontera, that is why I could't even progress from the swordsman job quest to a crusader.

 

I looked it up here and a post stated that I should use a given [ newprontera.grf ] that managed to work on others but not on mine.

 

A solution would be really appreciated.

after following this guide...

 

1) I get a Black Screen as if (iz_int) map is not there (but when replaced with data.grf from other game like myro it worked) but i know that this is only temporary, from this point I can play the game)

 

2) packet_db_ver of 46 gives warning so changed it to 53 which is what the console is saying.

 

3) cannot chat any type of chat doesn't work, and I am getting this "malformed packet error*(?)*" no chat logs as well     *what's that? didn't encountered any kind of error like that.

 

4) gm commands doesn't work maybe because the chat isn't working...

 

I think there is something wrong with the latest client... because it can't load the map sprites...

 

This problem here. Chats disabled, can't walk, no NPCs, but the map's sprite loaded(tried to change the newbie creation location) and the sounds were playing normally, but there's no BGM.

 

 

1. use @go 0 I forgot to mention that starting map is bugged(I believe it is because it is a renewal map as per scylla)  <<<----tried this one; refer to what I stated above(changed location) and the image below.

 

2. Obviously you did not set the packet version to 53. You are using a different client <<<------ didn't get what the malformed packet error though. i used my packet version which is 55(i used the 20151104 client)

 

3-4 related to the packet issue <<<<------ what kind of issue is it? is it about the packet_db_ver? packet_keys_use? or what?

 

 

 

Please help! Still a total newbie on these kinds of stuffs, but I managed to get up to here somehow, and can't find a way to fix it.

Hi! I need help... So I managed to make everything work, but I'm having trouble in creating a male character. I register my account as a male but then when I create the character, it always creates a female one. No matter what change I do to the hair or color of the hair, it still creates a female character. I have no problems creating a female character though just the male one. Can anyone help please? Thank you! I'll appreciate any help provided.

if i finally click on create i get sql db error in charserver output

 

btw i used all upgrade .sql files but some of them are bugged or broken and show me errors...
