So I followed the install guide for Cygwin. My system is 64bit windows 7, but it seemed to install SQL and compile the ragnarok servers just fine. Then I get to the next part where the SQL needs to be configured and I'm stumped.

I tried following the instructions for Linux, but every time it says error: 'Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysql.sock' (2)'

And trying something else to change the admin password, I get Check that mysqld is running and that the socket: '/var/run/mysql.sock' exists!

So I am pretty sure the SQL server itself isn't running but I'm not sure how to get it started in Cygwin. Is there a separate SERVER thing I need to download and install or something?
