A lot you may have noticed frequent of Staff Changes the past few days...Hopefully this would be the last slew of changes for quite some time (however we still do have positions that need filling)... First and foremost, the Development Admin position has been dissolved as it does not serve the purpose it was intended for. Kenpachi has graciously agreed to be moved to the Script/DB Developer group. He will still continue contributing to the project as he had done before but would no longer be holding Administrative responsibilities. rAthena's Development will now be lead jointly by Euphy and Cookie, our Script/DB Dev Manager and Core Dev Manager, respectively. My promotion to Community Administrator has left the Forum Manager position open however as you may have noticed the past couple of days, it is now a role being filled by Maki. Concerns that you may have regarding the forums can be direct to his inbox, the appropriate forum, or me. Major decisions concerning rAthena's Community or Development are now strictly made jointly by Administrators and Managers alike. International Moderator Positions We would like to welcome OnNplay back as an Indo/Malay Moderator. Helping him with the section is Feistz, someone who have been recommended by OnNplay himself. Lastly, someone probably more familiar to you guys who frequent in our Ragnarok News section, Ziu, has been charged to take care of our Spanish Section. Help us congratulate and wish them luck by posting below! Other positions mentioned in this topic still remains unoccupied so please send in your applications if you're interested and haven't done so yet. Community Contributors The following individuals have been moved to the Community Contributor group: Celsius, Gomen, Shinju, Terces. Thanks for all the time and efforts you've put into rAthena. Closing of irc.rathena.org In the interest of decreasing rAthena's expenses and services to manage, we've come to a decision to permanently close down our IRC server and migrate to Rizon, where we previously were. Our channels will remain as they are so feel free to come over, join us and chat, or just plain idle. Click here We will officially make the move sometime this Saturday, December 15 2012. A majority of you should not be affected by this but I do I apologize in advance to any individuals or established channels this change may greatly affect. That is all! As of recently, you may or may not have noticed that Jman is no longer bears the blue name that he's always carried since rAthena's creation. It bring me great regret that I'd have to announce this but unfortunately due to personal reasons and lack of time for the project, Jman has elected to resign from his position as our Community Administrator. On behalf of everyone in the emulator community, I'd like to give Jman a massive thank you for all the time and effort he's dedicated into this project so far. He's been a key player into the creation of this fork and without him we won't have the things that we do have now. I'd also like to invite anyone who desires to do so to post their appreciations below or shoot him a message. As per nominations of the current Admins and the Managers, I've been promoted to rAthena's Community Administrator. I know I've just been recently promoted as a Forum Manager but my statement in the previous topic still stands: Let's work together for the betterment and future of rAthena. Hey guys! I got a chance to look over our International Section this week and I realized that we are in DESPERATE need of moderators for a majority of our sections. The moderators there were assigned for those sections have been inactive for some time now therefore I've moved them into the Community Contributor group. I've updated the Staff Applications page with the latest info regarding open positions and what not. If you are fluent in English and in any of these languages: German, Portuguese, Russian, and Spanish; please consider sending an application in. Wouldn't mkbu's idea ignore certain letter casing? Here's an example of how I understand mkbu's idea to work..correct me if I'm wrong. Map exists as: aSdfg User: @warp asDfg Server: Since asDfg doesn't exists, turns it into asdfg, searches for asdfg and since asdfg doesn't exists and outputs "Map not found" thus frustrating the user. If casing is ignored, then whatever letter casing is used, as long as it matches letter per letter it would warp you there.

Throwing my own idea in. Why not just ignore case sensitivity all together similar to @go? I don't think anyone would be stupid enough to put two maps in that has the same name but different letter cases.

You should post the script that you're talking about so people can fix it.

I checked with Ind on this but turns out I not allowed to commit them cause my SVN access is only for documentation changes. =/

As far as I know since I haven't played in forever, there's no way to get instant cast in Renewal servers because you're always gonna have a fixed cast time.

If I recall correctly, RMS hosted something like this at one point. Not sure how well that went but it has been done before.
