  1. Hey guys, it's been a long time! Not sure if anyone remembers me. I noticed there was no topic about Ragnarok M and was wondering if anyone here is playing? Maybe we could share our IGN's here and meet in-game. I have 2 characters: Jaki - Priest Emperius - Merch

  4. Hello, On behalf of the rAthena staff, I'd like to announce a few changes regarding our Paid Services section! The following has changed for Paid Services: Some clarifications regarding Contributions: All art should be original works, owned by you. PSD's and/or original files should be provided. Contributions will be weighed.E.g., a single loading screen does not carry the same weight as a pull request that fixes 2 bug reports or a pull request that fixes some documentation within our repo, or even a bunch of wiki edits. You may make any contribution that you believe will benefit the project, for example, you may contribute to: rAthena Main Repo Clientside Repo FluxCP Repo Wiki Graphic-related (Loading screens, sprites, maps) Etc Additional clarification: while your previous/past contributions are greatly appreciated, this rule has been designed to require a new contribution that you have given to the community since the rule has been imposed (4th Feb). Due to the 'Paid Service' rule changes, all current services will be placed into a pending forum and those users will be given roughly a month to respond; meaning: From Feb 4 - Feb 28, they can commit or send their pull request. (we will accept substantial contributions from 1st feb onwards) On March 1, those who did NOT commit in Feb will have their topic moved to Rejected Ads, with a reasoning as to why it was rejected. Please reply to your own Paid Service thread with links and descriptions of your contribution. An Administrator will look over them shortly afterwards Edits: Clarified contribution weights [Maki] Added additional examples [Akkarin]

  9. Hello, We are slowly transitioning ourselves to GIT so it may be a better idea for you to learn to use that instead
  10. Ya this would be awesome, also with git i can add my own custom releases in a fork right? I wonder how, I'm to lazy to look up atm maybe ill look later if no one answers~ Yes that would be possible! I split the the above two posts from the original topic (so we did not get too off-topic).
  11. Hello, I am assuming you mean something like Social Groups for IPB?
  12. Fork & Pull Request on rAthena >>>> Fork & Make New Pull Request <<<< >>>> How to update your fork <<<< Introducing (a short guide to) GitHub Pull Requests Submitting a Pull Request 1. Once you've commited and squashed your changes, push them to your remote like this: git push origin newfeature 2. Then go to that page on GitHub and change branches to the one for your new feature. Submit a Pull Request! 3. Then, click on the little button that says 'Pull Request'. This will bring you to a page asking you to describe your change. Describe it thoroughly. Describe your Pull Request. 4. Then press 'Submit Pull Request'. Now, you're not quite done yet. If the maintainer finds some problems with your code, they won't want to pull your changes until you fix them. Fortunately, whenever you commit and push more things to that branch of your code, they will be included in that pull request until it is closed. Accepting And Merging a Pull Request If you're on the receiving end of a pull request, how do you merge the changes? Easy - press the button! GitHub now has an auto-merge button which does everything for you in one click. However, it doesn't always work, in which case you'll have to do the merge on your own machine, like so: And then their changes will be properly merged into your main master branch. So, Your Pull Request Was Rejected. Now What? Some forks are unavoidable. Sometimes, for technical or organizational reasons, your pull request will be rejected. This can feel really frustrating, and there are a few different ways you can proceed. Just remember to act rationally. The simplest thing is to simply accept their judgement. It's their project, and a good maintainer knows when to say "no." If their argument is logically sound, you should accept it. If you don't think it's a particularly important feature, hopefully whoever is looking at the project will check the Network and Issues tabs of the upstream project and will notice your changes. We will try and assist you as best as we can. Users who are knowledgeable with GitHub Pull Requests are also welcome to help!

  14. Hello, It's been a while! Within the past few days rAthena has gone through another round of changes and we just wanted to inform everyone on what is going on (as some of you may have noticed already). Community Participation Badges We have have been working on this for a while and decided it was time to implement our very own Awards system. It is a 'for fun' mod, similar to an achievement system, and meant to to encourage people to give back to the community. About the badges There are two kinds of badges: Normal and Unique. Normal community participation badges can be attained by everyone (shown below). Unique community participation badges are given to only a few people and typically unprecedented. Normal badges use a leveling system There are three levels: Lv 1, 2, and 3. Each level has its own unique art. E.g. "Bug Reporter" rank 1 has 10 confirmed bug reports, next rank has 20, next rank has 30 and so on. How do I obtain one There are currently two ways of gaining a badge: nominate someone (including yourself) or receive a nomination. E.g. user Bob wants the Bug Reporter badge, he has to send an application stating what award he's going for and proof that he has 10 confirmed bug reports. After it is approved, the badge will be added to his profile. The Badges Bug-related Awards: Wiki Badges: Scripting Awards: Souce Awards: Client side Awards: Mapping Awards: Spriting Awards: Paletting Awards: Arcenciel's Resignation Arcenciel decided to step down as Community Administrator as of March 2nd, 2013. He stated that he no longer has the time to perform his duties. On behalf of the staff, I'd like to thank you for everything you've done and have taken care of! Enjoy your apple. Development Archives Just a small note to inform everyone: We have recently begun to clean up our staff development forum; a bunch of topics were moved from our staff forums into the public archives (rAthena Development Archives). We would like to start becoming more transparent and allow more insight as to what goes on behind the curtains. Downloads rule change We have changed our policy on uploading sprite edits to rAthena Downloads. You can now upload any recolours or sprite edits of Gravity's sprites; meaning all those poring recolours we denied before will now be approved.

  16. Why not create an open-source version? It can be stored here (SVN/devel) and be worked on by anyone; especially once/if we move to GIT it would be a lot easier for everyone to work on =]
  17. No converter currently exists, although we wish it did as we have a lot of AEGIS files at hand; I believe it is/was being worked on by a Core Dev, just not sure who.
  18. Topic moved (replied to give it a bump to the top).
  19. Isn't that one of there reasons people play in private servers for? To have a completely unique RO experience, if people wanted the original they'd just play in the officials. iRO is free to play. No matter how much argument is made about this or how much logical sense there is to it..It's not probable that a majority of the community is going to support it. People like having options. It was rejected a few(?) times previously; the one I moved was not the first of these suggestions. I personally love that people can mix and match however they choose and setup whatever style server they like; it definitely adds more options to a 10+ year old game now. Personally, I'd be against the removal of pre-renewal or even a branch split, not to mention we have more pressing issues to worry about (like Renewal ATK =p). This would/could be a good idea but considering the history of *athena it will never work! Branches are almost always brushed off to the side to the point that no one cares for them anymore. People would just develop Renewal and Pre-RE would rot away until it breaks compatibility and then everyone would be too lazy to fix it because it would be too much work (even if it is a simple push/pull request).
  20. Currently there are no plans to split Pre-RE/RE; thanks for all the input provided in this topic though! Deep Forest nailed it though:
  21. /me would like more input on this D: I believe it would be a lot more user-friendly to go with the method I suggested unless someone has a better idea!
  22. Original topic: http://rathena.org/board/topic/70764-deleteall/page__pid__158461#entry158461 @clear all | storage | gstorage | inventory | cart i.e. @clear storage would clear all items in your Kafra Storage. Suggestion: Would it not be easier/more user-friendly to just have one dominant '@clear' command with additional/optional variables for more specific clearing of items?
  23. Hello Kam-Kam. Let us overthrow this tyrant called Orlox and her evil plan to take over the RO mapping scene!
