Month of May Digest for MC! The month of May has been a busy one for MC! With the rebranding of our main site and forum and partial on our pre-renewal database, we've hit great peeks! We have over 32 servers now currently listed with 8 being newly listed in the month of May (big step from being 1/2 a month). MC has been getting a lot of hits and new visitors everyday in May ranging from about 30-100 visits a day and sometimes peeking to 150-350. We have gotten 31 new accounts registered with MC in the Month of May! Our downloads system (ever since it has been publicly accessible) we've hit 35 files uploaded within about 2-3 days. I'd like to thank everyone for helping Midgard Community grow! Can't wait to see what June will bring MC!

There has been always a debate regarding incentives. There is a lot of strong talk regarding server owners providing incentives for their players when it comes to Voting. This can be in a form of points or items. However, there is no incentives for writing reviews for a server. I know for a fact that there are servers (typically small ones) that give incentives for their players to write reviews. I can see why this may be an issue to write reviews due to the authentication of the reviews if bribed to just write them. In the end of the day, what is the goal? The goal from the voting and reviewing? The end goal is to make your server stand out; by being at the top of the listings. So why is it really good to have the one, but not the other? Please keep in mind this topic is not for bantering, flaming, harassing, etc. This is just merely an informative topic to gather opinions of server owners, server players, and the community at large.

Midgard Community is introducing brand new support for Favicons across multiple platforms (favicons support). When browsing around our forums, you can notice it is mobile responsive. Yet, our Favicon wasn’t and wasn’t suitable across all platforms. Instead of having a single favicon.ico file, we have all the pictures and HTML code needed for a cool, mobile- and tablet-ready favicon. We are creating a custom section in our forums just for Reviews: the Review Bulletin. Basically this section will only be used/needed if individuals need more room to write a better in-depth review about a server. This special section for reviews comes with labels, recent reviews, and a server label filter. New update: Subscription System We added a Subscription System integration with our site: http://www.midgard-community.com/subscription-system/ With this system, individuals receive: Post notifications of new posts (News, updates, information) Newsletters (when appropriate) and most important, receive emails when a new server is listed Yes, that's correct. You will receive an email whenever at new server is listed with us. This is especially helpful for those individuals who want to be on top of new server listings without having to dig around our site. This is really beneficial for those who are looking for servers as well!

Another design update! We feel this design is more "lively" compared to our plain boring previous one. Once browsing our site, you'll notice I've added FontAwesome which is a big step to our design update. It cuts our useless tiny images and saves browsers' time loading pages.

Major update: Midgard Community is under going a new design change. We're going for a more "flat", friendly and pleasing to the eye sort of appeal. Little information everyone should know! During the migration of our boards, we lost a bit of topics / posts / and files. Sadly, the SQL file got corrupted that held these. However, all accounts / customizations, etc. have been saved. To begin with, the boards didn't have too many topics / posts / files to begin with, so it wasn't a huge loss! I've taken extra precaution to make daily backups of our boards (and of course our homepage and database). Looking forward to it being listed Update: I would like to thank everyone! Midgard Community officially launched on November 25th 2014 and I've noticed a potential growth already of users both on the boards and main page! To end off 2014, we've reached 104 users on the main page with 7 published servers and 90 user registrations in December alone! Heres to 2015! Happy New Years everyone !
