I was able to make my MySQL server work. Now I'm having a hard time accessing this website: http://k3dt.eu/Ragexe/ - anyone else?

I was wondering if XAMPP could be used as a replacement for MySQL Server? I'm trying to use MySQL Server 5.5 and MySQL Workbench but for some reason, it wouldn't work for me. As for XAMPP, I've been using it for years and it doesn't fail me. I'm always having the error "Can't connect to 127.0.0.1:3306 (10061)" whenever I start connecting using MySQL Workbench.

I'd like to ask about the MySQL used on the tutorial. When I installed mine, it automatically installed the latest version which I awkwardly have no idea on using. Anyway, I've downloaded the MySQL Workbench 5.2.47 but it's asking me to connect to something first before creating a database. It defaulted 127.0.0.1:3306 for the I.P. address and port, and it doesn't work. Can someone enlighten me on how to configure this? Thank you!
