Answering the solution in case anyone ever runs into this problem..

\conf\import\char_conf

Quote

conf/import/char_conf.txt
login_ip: 127.0.0.1
char_ip: vps_ip
conf/import/map_conf.txt
char_ip: 127.0.0.1
map_ip: vps_ip

I'm answering this old topic because I went through this and couldn't find a solution, until I racked my brains and found out where to solve it.

You need to diff your EXE right and set packets with revision of your exe and recompile.
