Can't connect to charcaters menu.

Hi , today i was setting up a fresh local server on my pc , i did everything correctly , and i am 100% sure of what i did 
 
but when i try to login , it says failed to connect to server.
 
idk why , i hope you guys know what i am experiencing atm

if you look at the char , its says " request connect " but there is no answer? thanks in advance :)

Have you double checked char_athena, login_athena, map_athena and, most importante, inter_athena configs?
 

Double check the ip/port configs in all of them.

 

Also check your sclientinfo.xml

 

Post it here for further help :)

The emulator seems to working good, i guess it's a problem of your clientinfo

 

   <address>127.0.0.1</address>

 

change that ip for the one of your computer, it shouldn't be 127.0.0.1 

also check if your client is the correct one in mmo.h in your src folder, also the version and langtype

The IP is correct since it's running in localhost lol

Version seens right (as it's using a version 45 in you emulator config)

Also, check your mmo.h (like kido said) for the correct cliente version :)

well in the guide, skip all of that until step 18

"18. Go to your Server\trunk\db and open file ‘packet_db.txt’ with notepad and add this line in bottom"

then add what is inside the box there to your packet_db.txt

 

please make a backup first

Add it into your db/packet_db in the section where your cliente is

 

There'll be a "20130807" in the packet_db, just copy the code in pastebin to that section of your file and try recompiling your server

Mines are for 2013-08-07 (i don't know if there's some big difference, but let's see if it helps lol)

EDIT : This error fixed , but the first problem is still here, i can login and make accounts , but i cant make chars ._.


i got it work , its all about that clientinfo.xml :( i was editing the one in data folder , while there is a one inside the grf >_> duh i am stupid

1 last thing , how can i type in arabic ? cuz when i try to type , it insert some chinese or korean letters :o , i tried to change the langtype to 19 "19 support arabic i guess" but after doing that i can't connect to the server , so i revert it back to 1 :o

1 last thing , how can i type in arabic ? cuz when i try to type , it insert some chinese or korean letters :o , i tried to change the langtype to 19 "19 support arabic i guess" but after doing that i can't connect to the server , so i revert it back to 1 :o

@Kido, 19 would be the best for her, but the emulator is not accepting it as langtype (it kinda crashes)

 

10, 11 and 13 are kinda "multilingual" (since 10 is germany, and germany has most of the possible characters)...

She'll have to try all of them 'till it Works :/

this is what happens when i change the lang to anything , i tried what you said , it just accept " 0 " only , nothing else dunno why :(

Hmmm i don't know why you get that screen, all i can think is due to the clientinfo config.

did you make sure to change the "servicetype" too ? not just the lang

Yes i did , same thing apears i used 19 uae , after that 10 germany , still cant connect

Hmmm this won't sound good but, i would try to take as base another server clientinfo, just to test and see what's going on or why can't work with the config

 

if you can't solve it and if you wish to change client 2012 04 10 let me know
